Mike Adams (back) has been cleared to return to action.
Adams hasn't appeared in a game since September 11 due to a tight right trapezius, but he was cleared after playing catch Monday with no issues. The Rangers figure to take it easy with his workload down the stretch.

Mike Adams (back) won't be available to pitch until Tuesday, at the earliest.
Adams is still nursing a tight right trapezius, as a cortisone injection this past Wednesday evidently hasn't had as big of an effect as hoped. The Rangers don't seem to think it's a long-term concern, though.

Mike Adams (back) will not throw Thursday.
Adams received a cortisone injection in his right trap muscle on Wednesday and is getting a couple days of rest. He should be back this weekend if all goes well. The 34-year-old right-hander has a 2.96 ERA and 40/15 K/BB ratio over 48 2/3 innings this year.

Mike Adams will be unavailable for the next 2-3 days after receiving a cortisone injection for a tight right trap muscle.
Adams suffered the injury during Tuesday's appearance, saying he started to feel it on every pitch and it was like "shot putting instead of pitching." He's hoping to be ready to go soon.

Mike Adams was one of many pitching victims in Wednesday's debacle against the Mariners, surrendering three runs while retiring only two batters.
The damage came on two hits and a walk. The Mariners have had his number in this series, pushing across six runs (four earned) in two-thirds of an inning. In two days, Adams' ERA has ballooned from 2.08 to 4.00.

Mike Adams (chest) was available on Sunday.
Adams was diagnosed this past weekend with a respiratory infection, but he's been prescribed medication and will work through it. "I'm getting better," the 31-year-old setup man told reporters Sunday.

Mike Adams (respiratory infection) is expected to be unavailable again Sunday but should be ready to pitch Monday.
Adams actually told Rangers manager Ron Washington that he feels good enough to pitch Sunday, but Wash wants to give him one more day. He'll have missed the entire three-game set against the Astros.

Mike Adams is suffering from a respiratory infection.
He likely will not be available Saturday. Adams got an X-ray and CAT Scan on his chest on Friday. "Hard to recover right now," he said. Joe Nathan has pitched in four straight games, so he's presumably not available Saturday against the Astros either. Alexi Ogando could be in line for a save, as could Koji Uehara.

Mike Adams took a loss in relief after giving up a run and three hits in the 10th inning Thursday against the A's.
The rally started on a little roller down the third-base line that just wouldn't go foul. Two more singles followed to hand Adams his second loss. It's not all bad news, though: since Joe Nathan pitched on a third straight day today, Adams might be in line for a save chance on Saturday.
