Mike Adams (back) will not throw Thursday. Adams received a cortisone injection in his right trap muscle on Wednesday and is getting a couple days of rest. He should be back this weekend if all goes well. The 34-year-old right-hander has a 2.96 ERA and 40/15 K/BB ratio over 48 2/3 innings this year.
