Mike Adams took a loss in relief after giving up a run and three hits in the 10th inning Thursday against the A's. The rally started on a little roller down the third-base line that just wouldn't go foul. Two more singles followed to hand Adams his second loss. It's not all bad news, though: since Joe Nathan pitched on a third straight day today, Adams might be in line for a save chance on Saturday.
