Manager Mike Scioscia said Thursday that it remains uncertain whether Shoemaker (forearm) will make his next scheduled start, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Shoemaker exited Wednesday's outing with forearm tightness, which is always concerning news for a pitcher. However, Fletcher notes that there is some reason for optimism given that the Angels haven't moved Shoemaker to the disabled list, which suggests the club is taking a wait-and-see approach for the time being. Shoemaker would be lined up to start Tuesday against the Yankees, so there figures to be more information on his status as that series opener draws closer.

Shoemaker left Wednesday's game with tightness in the extensor muscle of his forearm, Maria Guardado of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Mike Scioscia downplayed the injury following the game, saying Shoemaker's forearm was a little "weak" and "sore," but not bad enough to warrant an MRI. If Shoemaker still feels weak during his between-starts bullpen session, perhaps an MRI will be scheduled at that time. Shoemaker struggled over three innings against the Yankees, giving up four runs on six hits and a walk, with his fastball velocity averaging just over 90 mph (a season low).

Shoemaker was lifted from Wednesday's game with an undisclosed injury, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Shoemaker left with a trainer in the fourth inning after allowing four runs on six hits. It's unclear what forced the 30-year-old out of the contest, though more should be known once he is further evaluated.

Shoemaker (6-3) gave up four runs over seven innings while striking out four in a 9-4 win over the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Shoemaker wasn't able to escape the red-hot Astros without seeing his ERA rise, but considering the matchup and the end result of a victory, fantasy owners who deployed him can't be too upset with the final line. Even with Friday's four-run outing, the 30-year-old looks like a different pitcher over his last six starts (5-1, 3.19 ERA and 8.1 K/9) compared to his early returns (5.21 ERA in previous seven starts). His recent success should put the righty back on the map in most fantasy formats in the event he goes on a run similar to that of the second half of last season.

Shoemaker (5-3) tossed a quality start Saturday, holding the Twins to two runs on five hits while striking out five batters over 6.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran received an extra day of rest after his ugly outing against the Marlins last Sunday. Shoemaker bounced back in fine fashion and recorded his fourth quality start over his last five outings. He still owns a pedestrian 4.12 ERA and 1.7 HR/9 on the season, limiting his value to a matchup play in standard formats. That said, Shoemaker's next turn in the rotation comes against a high-powered Astros offense next Friday.

Shoemaker's next start has been pushed to Saturday against the Twins, Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
He was originally scheduled to pitch Friday, but will get an extra day of rest with Alex Meyer (back) slated to come off the DL to start Thursday's game, which pushes JC Ramirez back to Friday.

Shoemaker (4-3) allowed four runs on seven hits while striking out three batters over 4.2 innings during Sunday's loss to the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Shoemaker has been solid but unspectacular all season. He sports a serviceable 4.26 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 8.5 K/9, but his game-to-game inconsistency can be maddening. Before Sunday's poor outing he won three consecutive outings while allowing just three earned runs and striking out 21 batters over 18.2 innings. He'll look to bounce back with a home start against Minnesota on deck.

Shoemaker (4-2) tossed 6.1 scoreless innings in Monday's win over the Rays, allowing three hits with three walks and five strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
Shoemaker delivered one of his best outings of the season in this one, pitching to contact for much of the night and allowing just two men past first base. He departed with the bases loaded and one out in the seventh, but Yusmerio Petit came on and neutralized the threat. Shoemaker endured a rough stretch at the start of the season, but he has now delivered three consecutive quality starts, allowing just three runs in 18.2 innings during that stretch to lower his ERA to a season-best 3.97. He will look to continue his strong run of form Sunday against the Marlins on the road.

Shoemaker (3-2) gave up four runs (three earned) on nine hits while striking out nine in Wednesday's 12-8 win over the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
After twirling a gem in his last start, it appeared that Shoemaker had reverted to his old ways when he gave up four runs through two frames. The veteran would settled down, however, firing four-plus scoreless innings while notching his third quality start of the season. With 16 strikeouts to just two walks in his last two starts, the 30-year-old appears to be righting the ship after a rough start to the season. Shoemaker will look to build off of his recent success in a favorable matchup against the Ray next Tuesday.

Shoemaker (2-2) fired six scoreless innings against the Tigers on Friday, walking one and striking out seven in a 7-0 win.
EDGE Analysis
This was easily the veteran's best start of the season, and it was also the first time he hadn't surrendered at least two runs in an outing. The stellar performance provided a big correction to Shoemaker's stats, bumping his K/9 back above eight and knocking his BB/9 under four. The 30-year-old still carries a sub-par 4.50 ERA on the season, so he will have to string together more starts like Friday's in order to restore his value in standard leagues. There is potential for a repeat performance in Shoemaker's next start, when he faces the White Sox (who rank 25th in team wOBA) next Wednesday.
