Holliday is out of Saturday's lineup against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
He returned Friday and went 0-for-4 after missing a couple games with an ankle injury, but there has been no indication that his absence from Saturday's lineup is related to the ankle. Tommy Pham will start in left field and lead off against righty Tom Koehler.

Holliday (ankle) is back in the lineup Friday against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Holliday was deemed available for Sunday's game after rolling his ankle last Friday, but the Cardinals decided to play it safe and hold him out of the first-half finale, effectively extending the 36-year-old's break slightly in order to get him back to full strength. His current .241 batting average represents a career-worst mark for Holliday (by a significant margin), but he's making hard contact at a career-high rate and is on pace to approach 30 homers.

Holliday (ankle) is not in the lineup for Sunday's matchup with the Brewers, Jim Hayes of FOX Sports Midwest reports.
EDGE Analysis
Holliday is battling a rolled ankle that he suffered during Friday's game, and subsequently sat out Saturday to get extra rest. He will be available to come in to pinch-hit for Sunday's game, but he is not starting as Tommy Pham will replace him in left.

Holliday (ankle) will be available to play in Sunday's game against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
The Cardinals scratched Holliday on Saturday after he rolled his ankle during Friday's game, but it sounds like his removal from the lineup was largely precautionary. Holliday was reportedly available to pinch hit Saturday and will be an option for Sunday, although the team did not say explicitly that he will start so owners may want to confirm his status before deploying him as usual.

Holliday (ankle) was scratched from the lineup for Saturday's game against Milwaukee, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Holliday rolled his ankle in Friday night's game and was scratched from Saturday's lineup card likely as a precaution. He should be considered day-to-day for now. The veteran outfielder has yet to hit his stride in July, slashing just .167/.286/.200 through the Cardinals first eight games this month.

Holliday homered, a two-run shot, in a 2-for-4 game in Monday's loss to Kansas City.
EDGE Analysis
Holliday now has six home runs in his past 13 games and is slugging a fantastic .713 over that stretch. He managed just three home runs in April but has found his power stroke since then, as he is now up to 15 home runs and is on pace for 32 on the season.

Holliday isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs, Jim Hayes of Fox Sports Midwest reports.
EDGE Analysis
Holliday will rest on Wednesday, and won't face the Cubs' right-handed ace, Jake Arrieta. Despite being right-handed, Holliday is actually hitting right-handed pitching better this season. However, he's had 18 career at-bats against Arrieta for just one hit, two walks, and six strikeouts. Instead, southpaw hitter Brandon Moss will start in left field and hit sixth.

Holliday went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Tuesday's 4-3 win against the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
It wasn't obvious at the time, but Holliday's 13th home run of the season turned out to be the difference in the ball game. The third-inning blast made the score 4-1, and appeared as though the fireworks show was on at Wrigley. However, Holliday's homer was the last time the Cards would cross the plate on the evening and it proved to be enough. The veteran outfielder has had a rough June, so maybe his big hit Tuesday will propel him to a strong finish this month. Through 233 at-bats this year, Holliday is slashing .253/.330/.481.

Holliday went 1-for-3 with a homer and two RBI Sunday against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Holliday's 12th blast of the year tied the game at three in the sixth inning, but the Cards would eventually go on to lose the contest. He now has three homers in his last seven games to raise his slugging percentage to .478 on the season.

Holliday went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's win over the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
Holliday collected a trio of hits and went deep for the second consecutive day, bringing him to 11 home runs after hitting just four in his injury-plagued 2015 campaign. Further, the veteran is now on pace for his most prolific season in that department since 2007 when he was still plying his trade for the Rockies. Holliday has experienced some regression in the batting average department (.265), likely in the name of the aforementioned power numbers, but fantasy owners will likely find it hard to complain about his resurgence through the first portion of the season.
