Holliday went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Tuesday's 4-3 win against the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
It wasn't obvious at the time, but Holliday's 13th home run of the season turned out to be the difference in the ball game. The third-inning blast made the score 4-1, and appeared as though the fireworks show was on at Wrigley. However, Holliday's homer was the last time the Cards would cross the plate on the evening and it proved to be enough. The veteran outfielder has had a rough June, so maybe his big hit Tuesday will propel him to a strong finish this month. Through 233 at-bats this year, Holliday is slashing .253/.330/.481.
