Harvey will start Game 3 of the Mets' divisional series against the Dodgers, ESPN New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jacob deGrom will start Game 1 while Noah Syndergaard gets the nod in Game 2, both of which will be in Los Angeles. Harvey comes in off two excellent starts and should not have any innings or pitch limit in the contest.

Harvey (13-8) was brilliant on Saturday in a losing effort, allowing one unearned run on four hits while striking out 11 across six innings in a 2-0 defeat to the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
If it weren't for Max Scherzer's absurd performance, Harvey would have likely been the winning pitcher on Saturday. In any case, the dominating performance is a fantastic sign for Mets fans going into the postseason. The most impressive stat is that Harvey drew 22 swinging strikes in just 91 pitches. He finished the season with a 2.71 ERA and 1.02 WHIP in 29 starts this season.

Harvey (13-7) picked up the playoff-clinching victory for the Mets on Saturday, surrendering nine hits and two earned runs in 6.2 innings in a 10-2 defeat of the Reds. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Harvey was able to muster his first quality start in September at a critical time, while pitching the furthest he has into a game since an Aug. 11 appearance against Colorado. After a rocky start to the month in which he surrendered 17 hits and 11 earned runs over 11.2 innings in two starts, Harvey has now generated a sparkling 1.61 ERA over his last pair of trips to the mound. Harvey displayed solid control Saturday, refraining from handing out any free passes and throwing 73 of his 97 pitches for strikes. He also did not allow a ball to leave the yard, the seventh time over his last nine starts that he has not surrendered a homer.

Harvey threw five shutout innings Sunday against the Yankees, striking out seven while allowing one hit and one walk.
EDGE Analysis
Harvey left with a 1-0 lead, only to see the bullpen implode immediately after his departure, thus fueling the fire on the discussion about his innings limit.

Harvey won't pitch more than five or six innings in Sunday's start, MLB.com's Anthony DiComo reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Mets plan to keep a very close eye on Harvey in his start against the Yankees, but manager Terry Collins said Harvey would still likely go longer than three or four innings. It's not clear how many more starts Harvey will make in the regular season following Sunday's outing, but the Mets have said they plan to use him in the postseason, so once the division is wrapped up they may look to skip him again.

Harvey will start Sunday's game against the Yankees, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
Harvey is only expected to make one or two more starts before the end of the regular season, as the Mets continue to limit his innings following Tommy John surgery. The 26-year-old has not pitched since September 8 against Washington when he was roughed up for seven earned runs on eight hits over 5.1 innings. Following Sunday's start, the Mets will likely reassess the rotation and determine whether it will be necessary for Harvey to make another start as the postseason approaches.

Rather than skipping Harvey in the rotation, the Mets may have him pitch on a regular turn but limit his innings to keep him sharp for the postseason, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Mets might have Harvey pitch half-a-game and be supported by Erik Goeddel, Sean Gilmartin or Tim Stauffer out of the bullpen. While this would keep him fresh and avoid a long layoff, it could hurt his fantasy owners, as the Mets may limit Harvey to five innings or a certain number of pitches, impacting his shot at wins and counting stats,

Logan Verrett will start Sunday in place of Harvey, who may get two more starts before the end of the season, Marc Carig of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Harvey, who was roughed up Tuesday, may pitch in the September 20-22 series against the Yankees and then possibly against the Nationals in the final series of the year. He is being skipped Sunday to keep his innings down, so that he is available to pitch in the postseason.

Harvey (12-7) took a no-decision Tuesday, giving up seven earned runs on eight hits while walking two and striking out six in an 8-7 win over the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Harvey wasn't quite as bad as his pitching line would suggest, as a Yoenis Cespedes fielding miscue allowed two questionable earned runs to score in the sixth inning. Nevertheless, Tuesday's start was Harvey's third of the year allowing seven earned runs. Harvey's outing didn't do much to inspire confidence among fantasy owners, especially with the threat of a regular season shutdown looming. Assuming the recently recalled Logan Verrett doesn't start in his place, Harvey is next scheduled to pitch Monday against the Marlins.

Harvey is currently scheduled to start Tuesday against Washington, make one more regular-season start at some point after that, then be available if needed against the Nationals in the final series of the year, with the intention of preserving him to pitch in the postseason, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is the latest compromise between the Mets, Harvey and Scott Boras to keep Harvey at 180 innings, but have him available for the postseason. The Mets are going with a six-man rotation, meaning that Logan Verrett will likely slot in for Harvey two or three times.
