Andriese (hip) will make a rehab start for Triple-A Durham on Wednesday and an additional one next Monday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Following that pair of outings, Andriese will presumably be ready for activation from the disabled list, provided he's suffered no setbacks. That timeline would put the right-hander on target for the early September return that been the goal for some time, giving him the opportunity to build on the 5-1 record and 3.54 ERA that he's compiled through 12 starts.

Andriese (hip), who took a comebacker off his shin in Friday's rehab start, feels fine, but still needs to make two more rehab starts before coming off the DL, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The comebacker didn't result in an injury, but it forced him from his rehab start after just two pitches, so this changes his return timetable. Andreise posted a 3.54 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 55 strikeouts in 61 innings (12 starts) before landing on the DL. He now lines up to be activated to start Sept. 2 against the White Sox.

Andriese (hip) took a grounder off his shin and was forced to leave his rehab start Friday after just two pitches, Bryan Levine of the Charlotte Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andriese was seen walking around in the dugout after he was taken into the clubhouse, and while he appeared to have a slight limp, the injury didn't seem serious. His rehab may have to be extended another week so he can get another start in before returning to the Rays, but he looks to have avoided a major setback.

Andriese (hip) emerged from Sunday's rehab start without setbacks and will make his next start for High-A Charlotte on Friday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The news couldn't be better for the right-hander, who's been sidelined since June 10. Andriese is expected to keep ramping up his pitch count with each successive start, with the hope of bringing him back up to the big-league club for the final month of the campaign.

Andriese (hip) allowed two earned runs on four hits and a walk over three-plus innings in High-A Charlotte's loss to Bradenton on Sunday. He recorded a pair of strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
Andriese wasn't at his sharpest, especially considering the level of competition, but the most important aspect of his outing was that he apparently got through it without setbacks. As per Roger Mooney of the Tampa Bay Times, the right-hander threw 35 of his 51 pitches for strikes. Andriese is slated for multiple starts in the minors before a return to the big-league club.

Andriese (hip) had a successful three-inning live batting practice session Tuesday and is expected to begin a rehab assignment with High-A Charlotte on Sunday, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander has been able to throw a couple of batting practice sessions in the several days without setbacks, so it appears he's ready to return to game action. If Andriese ends up needing just four rehab starts, he'll be on pace to return to the big-league club by late August.

Andriese (hip) threw a live batting practice session Thursday in Dunedin and could soon begin a rehab assignment, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andriese is slated for at least one more batting practice session before returning to game action, but he appears to finally be heading the right direction with his rehab. The 27-year-old had posted an impressive 5-1 record and 3.54 ERA over 12 starts before being sidelined in June.

Andriese (hip) threw 37 pitches off the mound at Tropicana Field on Monday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andriese's progress is such that if he continues without setbacks, he's likely to start a rehab assignment by the end of next week. The 27-year-old right-hander was moved to the 60-day DL back on June 17 but appears to finally be nearing a return to game action.

Andriese (hip) expects to start throwing off the mound at Tropicana Field by the end of next week, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The rehabbing right-hander is currently with the team in Anaheim since he was at home in California during the All-Star break. Andriese began playing catch on July 7 and has progressed to the point where he'll be able to take the next step in his recovery soon. The 27-year-old last pitched on June 10, when he exited an outing versus the Athletics after one inning with what was termed a groin strain at the time.

Andriese played catch for the first time since fracturing his hip in early June, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andriese was finally able to get rid of his crutches this week and starting the beginning of his rehab by playing catch prior to the game against Boston on Friday. The right-hander still has a long ways to go before he can begin a rehab assignment in the minors, but this was a necessary step before lengthening the throwing distance over the course of the next week.
