A similar strategy could be used in Thursday's -- and possibly Friday's -- games.

Teixeira was scratched shortly before Monday's first pitch as a result of light-headedness, which is presumably a thing of the past. He's been quite productive in his last six games, hitting .263 (5-for-19) with two long balls, three RBI, five runs scored, and five walks versus two strikeouts.
