Stroman improved to 3-7 on the year after tossing seven innings Saturday against the Orioles, allowing just a single run on five hits and a pair of walks while striking out seven batters.
EDGE Analysis
There aren't many easier assignments than Baltimore these days, but Stroman got the job done without any real hassle. After allowing three straight singles to start the game, he settled into a groove and threw six straight scoreless innings. It was an encouraging outing for the 27-year-old, who has allowed five earned runs with a 16:4 K:BB over his last three starts after an injury-plagued start to the season. He'll look to build on his momentum Friday against the White Sox.

Stroman (2-7) allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits and one walk while striking out four across five innings as he took the loss Sunday against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Boston got to Stroman in the first inning for two runs, and they added two more in the fifth before the 27-year-old was lifted. Stroman has been inconsistent over his last four starts, collecting a 2-2 record with 11 earned runs and 15 strikeouts over 23.2 innings. He'll look to turn around a subpar first half as he'll head into the All-Star break with a 5.86 ERA and 1.50 WHIP with 52 strikeouts over 66 innings.

Stroman (2-6) tossed seven innings of one-run ball to get the win Tuesday against the Braves, allowing six hits and two walks with five strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman was outstanding in a difficult matchup, throwing first-pitch strikes to 22 of 28 batters while inducing a whopping 15 groundball outs. The hosts manufactured a run with a bunt and an RBI single in the sixth, but Stroman lasted through the seventh and left with a win in hand. While his 5.90 ERA leaves a lot to be desired, the right-hander has begun to turn things around of late by allowing one earned run or fewer in three of his last four starts. He'll look to keep it up this weekend against the Red Sox.

Stroman (1-6) took the loss Wednesday, allowing six runs on six hits and four walks while striking out two over 4.2 innings against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman got through the first four innings without much trouble, but then yielded a homer, a double, three singles and a walk while recording just two outs in the fifth and was charged with five runs in the frame. It was a disappointing return to early season form for the 27-year-old, as he had allowed just one earned run while posting 9:1 K:BB over 12 innings since returning from the disabled list in late June prior to Wednesday's start. He'll take a 6.50 ERA and 1.57 WHIP into next Wednesday's road tilt against the Braves.

Stroman (1-5) picked up the win Friday, allowing two runs on five hits over seven innings while striking out four in a 3-2 victory over the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
It's his second quality start of the year, and second straight solid performance since coming off the disabled list. Stroman threw 65 of 90 pitches for strikes in finally collecting his first win of the season, but he's still saddled with a 6.20 ERA heading into his next start Wednesday at home against the Mets.

Stroman (shoulder) was activated from the disabled list Saturday and will start against the Angels, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman hasn't pitched since May 8 after hitting the disabled list with shoulder fatigue. Prior to the injury, he had recorded a very poor 7.71 ERA in seven starts, though he may have been dealing with the issue all season, as he also battled shoulder inflammation in spring training. If he's finally fully healthy, the Blue Jays will hope he returns to the form which saw him post a 3.09 ERA in 2017.

Manager John Gibbons confirmed Stroman (shoulder) will be activated from the disabled list to start Saturday against the Angels, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Stroman has been cleared to rejoin the big-league rotation after getting through a simulated game -- due to his scheduled rehab start being rained out -- with no issues earlier in the week. The right-hander will look to turn things around now that he's healthy, as he struggled to a 7.71 ERA and 1.71 WHIP across seven starts (37.1 innings) prior to landing on the shelf with a shoulder injury in mid-May. His return will likely push Sam Gaviglio from the starting rotation.

Stroman (shoulder) threw a simulated game at Double-A New Hampshire on Monday and is expected to return from the 10-day disabled list to start Saturday against the Angels, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman had been scheduled to make his second minor-league rehab start Monday with New Hampshire, but a postponement due to rain forced him to alter his plans. While the Blue Jays probably would have liked to see Stroman pitch again in an uncontrolled setting, it appears they were satisfied with how he looked during the simulated game and are ready to integrate him back into the rotation. The return of Stroman, who submitted a 7.71 ERA and 1.71 WHIP across 37.1 innings in his seven starts prior to landing on the DL, will most likely result in Sam Gaviglio losing a rotation spot.

Stroman (shoulder) is scheduled to make a rehab start at Double-A New Hampshire on Monday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman covered 4.1 innings on 60 pitches in his first rehab start last week at High-A Dunedin, so he'll presumably work deeper into Monday's appearance in what could be his final outing on the farm before returning from the 10-day disabled list. If Stroman checks out fine physically Monday, he would likely slot back into the Toronto rotation Saturday against the Angels. Sam Gaviglio appears to be most at risk of losing his rotation spot once Stroman is formally reinstated.

Stroman (shoulder) threw 4.1 innings in a rehab start Wednesday for High-A Dunedin, giving up two runs on one hit and four walks while striking out three.
EDGE Analysis
After completing a three-inning simulated game last weekend without issue, Stroman raised his pitch count to 60 while pitching in an uncontrolled setting for the first time since May 8. The Blue Jays have yet to announce the next step for Stroman, but it's possible that he could be activated from the 10-day disabled list early next week to rejoin the rotation for the team's two-game set against Atlanta. Stroman likely would have a restricted pitch count if he were to start Tuesday or Wednesday, however, which could make the Blue Jays more inclined to have him take the hill once more in the minors before returning from the DL. Expect the Blue Jays to clarify their plans for Stroman at some point over the weekend.
