Stroman's (shoulder) Wednesday rehab start will come with High-A Dunedin, Mike Wilner of Sportsnet 590 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Blue Jays had previously announced the rehab appearance but not the location. Stroman has now been out for a month with shoulder fatigue and posted an ugly 7.71 ERA before hitting the disabled list. With the Blue Jays already 11 games out of a playoff spot, the team will likely prioritize Stroman's long-term health over getting him back in the rotation as soon as possible. He's set to throw four innings Wednesday, which means he'll presumably need at least one more rehab appearance after that before returning from the DL.

Stroman (shoulder) is scheduled for another rehab outing Wednesday, but the Blue Jays have yet to decide whether he'll toe the rubber for a minor-league affiliate or pitch in a simulated game at extended spring training, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman resumed mound work in late May before advancing to facing hitters in a three-inning simulated game Friday. With Stroman experiencing no renewed soreness in his right shoulder coming out of that outing, it's expected that he'll bump up his pitch count when he returns to the mound Wednesday. Given that Stroman has been on the disabled list for a month with the injury, it seems likely that he'll require at least one more rehab start beyond Wednesday before the Blue Jays will seriously entertain activating him.

Stroman (shoulder) will pitch three innings during a simulated game at extended spring training Friday, Mike Wilner of BlueJaysTalk reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman recently tossed a live batting practice session Tuesday while he continues to work his way back from right shoulder fatigue that has sidelined the right-hander since May 11. Look for a more definitive timetable to emerge after Friday's session as Stroman will be re-evaluated following his outing.

Stroman (shoulder) threw live batting practice Tuesday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman didn't experience any setbacks during his latest throwing session, and he's scheduled to progress to throwing in a game sometime during the week. He's been on the shelf since May 11 with right shoulder fatigue.

Stroman (shoulder) will throw long toss and a side session this week, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman has been out since May 11 with shoulder fatigue. He resumed throwing last Monday and will continue to ramp things up in the coming week. Stroman's possible return date remains unclear, but more will hopefully be known following his side session. In the meantime, Sam Gaviglio should continue to fill in for Stroman in the rotation.

Stroman (shoulder) will throw a bullpen session sometime next week, John Lott of The Athletic Toronto reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman resumed throwing Monday, and he'll take the next step by attempting to throw a bullpen session in the near future. It remains unclear as to when Stroman could return, but the Blue Jays will likely get a better idea on his status following his next scheduled throwing session.

Stroman (shoulder) resumed throwing Monday, Mike Wilner of Sportsnet 590 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman threw for the first time since landing on the disabled list earlier in May with shoulder fatigue. While he reported feeling good afterwards, the 27-year-old remains without a timetable for his return. Joe Biagini should continue to fill in for Stroman in the meantime.

Stroman was placed on the disabled list with shoulder fatigue Friday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's not a particularly surprising move, despite the lack of recent reports suggesting that Stroman was battling an injury. He dealt with shoulder inflammation in spring training which forced him to delay his first start. Since then, he's been very ineffective, posting a 7.71 ERA through his first seven starts. A 52.6 percent left on base rate explains some of those struggles, and his 4.02 xFIP suggests that he's getting rather unlucky, but it's still quite clear that something has been wrong. Stroman's 10.2 percent walk rate is well above his 6.7 percent career mark, and he's been knocked around when he's in the zone, posting a 46.8 percent hard-hit rate, far above his 30.5 career figure. He'll miss at least one start while resting his shoulder. Joe Biagini and Sam Gaviglio are the primary candidates to take his spot in the rotation.

Stroman (0-5) allowed five earned runs on nine hits while walking two and striking out two across five innings to take the loss Tuesday against the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman continued his season-long struggles, allowing the Blue Jays to string together several hits at a time to do the majority of their damage. However, he also allowed a home run for his fourth consecutive start. His 7.71 ERA and 1.71 WHIP illustrate just how bad he has been through seven starts this season.

Stroman reintroduced his cutter into his repertoire Wednesday, throwing the pitch approximately 20-25 times, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although he took another loss, Stroman had his best performance of the season against Minnesota on Wednesday, and catcher Russell Martin described the cut fastball as the "difference maker." Stroman allowed just two runs on six hits and one walk while striking out five over seven innings, marking his first start this season with fewer than four runs allowed. The right-hander told Martin that he wanted to start throwing the cutter again during their pregame chat. "It's a pitch I'll start to use effectively going forward," Stroman said afterward. He lines up for two starts next week (vs. SEA, vs. BOS).
