Stroman (1-5) gave up six runs (five earned) on eight hits and two walks while striking out two through 4.2 innings taking a loss against the Twins on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman allowed 10 baserunners in only 4.2 innings and gave up his first two home runs of the year. He has given up nine earned runs in his last two starts and hasn't made it out of the fifth inning in either appearance. The right-hander has a 1-5 record with a 2.96 ERA through eight starts this season. Stroman will look to bounce back in his next start Saturday against the White Sox.

Stroman (1-4) gave up five runs (four earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out three through 3.1 innings, taking a loss to the Angels on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman allowed too many baserunners to be effective. After he delivered excellent outings in his last two starts, this was a disappointing result. The right-hander has a 1-4 record with a 2.20 ERA through seven starts this season. Stroman will look to bounce back in his next start Monday against the Twins.

Stroman allowed just one hit in seven scoreless innings with seven strikeouts and two walks in a no-decision against the Athletics on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old did more than enough to win his second straight game, but the Blue Jays bullpen tossed up a two-run homer in the eighth to give up the lead. Stroman has been one of the most unlucky starters in the league this season. Despite a 1.43 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and .197 batting average against, Stroman owns a 1-3 record. He also has 36 strikeouts in 37.2 innings. Stroman's next outing is scheduled to be on the road against the Angels on Thursday.

Stroman (1-3) allowed one run on six hits and two walks while striking out six over eight innings in a win over the A's on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
This was a strong showing against a top-10 offense by wRC+. Stroman got 24 called strikes and 11 swinging strikes on 109 pitches. The right-hander is one of most prolific groundball starting pitchers in the game, and his strikeouts are way up early on this year (29 in 30.2 innings). There will be some tough divisional matchups down the line, but Stroman is looking like a high-end streamer in standard mixed leagues.

Stroman (0-3) took the loss after allowing three runs (zero earned) on three hits and four walks while striking out five over four innings Sunday against Tampa Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman was saddled with the loss in the series finale, though he didn't give up a single earned run. The Rays scored a run in the third with help from a Toronto error and tacked on two more in the fourth after Stroman committed a throwing error. The 27-year-old struggled with his command throughout his start, issuing four free passes while racking up a high pitch count (91 pitches) after four frames. In Stroman's defense, he hasn't gotten a whole lot of run support in 2019 and sits with an 0-3 record despite a 1.99 ERA over 22.2 innings.

Stroman (0-2) took the loss Sunday against Cleveland after surrendering three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out six over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman allowed two quick runs in the first inning but settled down during the next few frames before giving up his third run of the day in the fifth. Unfortunately for the 27-year-old, the Blue Jays offense stalled with Mike Clevinger on the hill for the opposition. Stroman remains without a win through his first two starts of 2019 despite owning a 2.41 ERA with 18 punchouts over 18.2 innings.

Stroman (0-1) was handed the loss Tuesday against the Orioles as he allowed two runs on nine hits across 5.2 innings. He struck out five and walked one.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman started off with five scoreless frames but ran into trouble during the sixth inning as he gave up two singles, a triple and a walk. Toronto's offense didn't manage to score until the ninth inning, saddling the 27-year-old with the loss. Stroman next lines up to start Sunday against the Indians.

Stroman allowed two hits and walked four while striking out seven across seven shutout innings Thursday against the Tigers. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman pitched well enough to earn the win, but was matched in his strong performance by Jordan Zimmermann. While no conclusions should be drawn from the single start, Stroman flashed a different profile in his 2019 debut by generating 16 swinging strikes and inducing just as many flyouts as groundouts. He'll look to improve his control in his second start, but otherwise, it was an impressive outing for Stroman after coming off an injury-plagued 2018 season.

Stroman allowed one run on two hits over 4.1 innings while striking out six in Wednesday's Grapefruit League game against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Named the Jays' Opening Day starter earlier in the day, Stroman celebrated with another impressive outing. The right-hander now boasts a 2.19 ERA and 13:1 K:BB over 12.1 spring frames as he looks to rebound from a rough 2018 and return to the form that saw him top 200 innings and 160 strikeouts in each of the previous two seasons.

The Blue Jays named Stroman as their starter for the regular-season opener March 28 versus the Tigers, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman, who is scheduled to make his fourth start of the spring Wednesday against the Orioles, has looked sharp thus far during Grapefruit League play, holding opposing hitters to a .143 average through eight innings. Perhaps more so than his strong numbers this spring, Stroman's improved health is probably the most positive development for his fantasy outlook coming off a 2018 campaign that was sullied by injury. Stroman was limited to just 19 starts last season and saw his performance suffer while he battled shoulder fatigue and a blister on his pitching hand, but he could be a bounce-back candidate after enjoying a relatively normal offseason and experiencing no setbacks since reporting to camp.
