FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Orioles are planning to activate Manny Machado (knee) on Tuesday. That's assuming the weather in Baltimore cooperates. Machado was originally on track to be activated this weekend, but he has apparently shown the Orioles that he's ready now. The 21-year-old is 8-for-12 (.667) with four doubles, one triple, two RBI, and a stolen base through three rehab games with High-A Frederick, so it's hard to argue. He didn't play last night due to inclement weather. Machado will obviously be worth using immediately in fantasy leagues as soon as he's activated.

Manny Machado (knee) continued the offensive assault on Sunday, going 4-for-4 with two doubles in a minor league rehab game with High-A Frederick. Machado scored twice, drove in a pair and stole a base in the game while manning third base defensively. He'll act as the designated hitter on Monday, and barring any setbacks remains on track to rejoin the Orioles over the weekend.

Manny Machado (knee) went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a triple in his first minor league rehab game with High-A Frederick on Friday. Due to sloppy field conditions from rain throughout the day, he served as the team's designated hitter on Friday, but is expected to play third base on Saturday. Barring any setbacks, he remains on track to return to the Orioles on May 2.

Eduardo A. Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports that the Orioles are eyeing next weekend as the return date for Manny Machado (knee). Machado will begin a rehab assignment with High-A Frederick on Friday and the O's are expecting him to only need a week's worth of rehab games if all goes well. That would make May 2 as the target date for the third baseman. The Orioles figure to ease Machado in initially with a handful of off days early on, but he's someone fantasy owners are going to want to put back in their lineup immediately.

Manny Machado (knee) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A Frederick on Friday. Machado has been cleared for official game action after getting through a few extended spring training contests with no issues. He'll move up to Triple-A Norfolk on Monday and then go back to Double-A Bowie since it's closer to Baltimore. The young third baseman is on pace to rejoin the Orioles at the beginning of May.

Manny Macado (knee) played five innings in an extended spring training game on Saturday without any issues. He's expected to do so again on Sunday and if he continues to progress could soon be cleared for a minor league rehab assignment. Fantasy owners should be expecting a return to the O's lineup in early May.

Manny Machado (knee) will play five innings at third base in an extended spring training game Saturday. Machado was cleared after doing some sliding on Friday with no issues. It will be the third baseman's first game action since last October's knee surgery. The Orioles have been careful not to make any hard and fast deadlines for Machado, but it's beginning to look like he should be ready to go pretty early on in May.

Manny Machado (knee) ran the bases again Thursday. Machado ran the bases for the first time Wednesday, so it's a good sign that he was right back out there. The plan calls for him to slide for the first time Friday and play in an extended spring training game on Saturday. He's beginning to make encouraging progress.

Manny Machado (knee) ran the bases for the first time Wednesday with no problems. Machado had been running sprints in the days prior, but Wednesday was the first day he ran the bases in his recovery from October knee surgery. He'll continue running the bases for the rest of the week. No indication was given as to when he'll be cleared to take part in extended spring training games, but it shouldn't be too long now.
