Gregerson allowed one run on one hit and a walk with two strikeouts, but ultimately got the job done in a 13-inning thriller against the Angels on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Gregerson struggled a bit, and the run he allowed came on a wild pitch during a 3-2 count. The 32-year-old, however, bounced back to earn the save, and he continues to prove he's a reliable option during the late innings despite the fact he's already blown three saves this year. His ERA sits at 3.42.

Gregerson retired the side in order to earn his 11th save of the season against the Angels on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
He induced three uneventful ground balls, throwing six strikes on 10 pitches, in the ninth to shut the door. Gregerson is now 11-for-14 in save opportunities with a 3.18 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 20 strikeouts in 22.2 innings.

Gregerson notched his ninth save with a perfect inning of work against the White Sox on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
After he blew Tuesday's save -- the third time out of four that Gregerson had failed to hold a one-run lead -- it was nice to see the righty get back out there and polish off the South Siders. Gregerson's hit some bumps in the road recently, but he still has a fairly firm grip on the Astros' closing job.

Gregerson gave up a run on three hits in his third blown save Tuesday against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Gregerson has now blown consecutive saves including three of his last four. He had saved seven consecutive games to open the season, but with the slip, he now has a 4.08 ERA and just a 72.7 percent conversion rate. Gregerson is lucky Ken Giles (6.89 ERA) has been so awful this year or his closer job might be in serious jeopardy.

Gregerson suffered his first blown save of the season Wednesday, allowing a run on two hits in the ninth inning against the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
Facing the heart of the Cleveland lineup, Gregerson retired Francisco Lindor on a grounder before allowing a double to Mike Napoli and an RBI triple to Carlos Santana. With a runner on third, the veteran reliever escaped any further damage by keeping the ball in the infield, inducing ground balls off the bats of Marlon Byrd and Yan Gomes. Gregerson ranks 12th in the AL with seven saves, but figures to hold a decent leash on the Astros' closer role with Ken Giles working to rebound from his early season struggles.

Gregerson induced three ground balls Friday to shut the door on the Mariners and record his seventh save of the season.
EDGE Analysis
After allowing three runs in a non-save situation Thursday, Gregerson responded by retiring the Mariners in the ninth on six pitches. He allowed a single to Kyle Seager, but he was quickly erased on a double play to end the game. Gregerson has converted all seven of his save chances and owns a 3.46 ERA and 0.92 WHIP in 13 innings.

Gregerson (0-1) got the call in a tie game Thursday against Seattle, allowing three runs on three hits and a walk in an inning of work and suffering the loss.
EDGE Analysis
The Astros brought him into the game in one of those dreaded non-save situations, and Gregerson struggled through it as closers so often do. Still, the veteran righty has been a stabilizing force as the closer in Houston since last season and has yet to blow a save this year, so his job remains safe.

Gregerson struck out one in a perfect ninth to close out the Twins for his sixth save Tuesday night.
EDGE Analysis
Gregerson is a perfect 6-for-6 in save opportunities and has yet to allow a run in a save situation. He has now struck out a batter in four straight appearances to give him eight strikeouts to go with his 1.64 ERA.

Gregerson pitched a perfect ninth inning Sunday against the A's to earn his fifth save of the season.
EDGE Analysis
Gregerson threw only 14 pitches (nine for strikes) to retire the side in order, including a strikeout of Marcus Semien. Save opportunities have been limited for the veteran right-hander since Houston has only won eight games, but he's a perfect 5-for-5 in the chances he's had thus far.

Gregerson earned his fourth save with a perfect ninth inning while striking out one Sunday against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Gregerson was only given a one-run lead to protect against a dangerous Tigers offense, but he made short work of them to close out the win. He's yet to give up a run in five innings of work while allowing only three runners to reach base, and it would seem his hold on the closer job is getting stronger by the day.
