Severino didn't factor into the decision Sunday, allowing four runs on four hits with six walks across five innings against the Rays. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Despite yielding just four hits, Severino gave up a season-high four earned runs Sunday. His struggles stemmed from a lack of command, doling out a career-high six walks -- two of which game around to score. Still, Severino's ERA sits at 2.93 through 40 innings. He's lined up for a start Saturday against Atlanta, a tough matchup for a bounceback.

Severino didn't factor into the decision Monday, allowing one run on one hit and two walks over eight innings against the Cubs. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
Severino was locked into a pitchers duel with Jameson Taillon, as the pair of starters each went deeper than seven innings while allowing just one run. Individually, Severino took a no-hitter into the eighth. However, Severino's efforts were for naught as Edwin Diaz surrendered a pair of runs in the ninth inning, leading to the Cubs' win. After posting a career-worst 6.65 ERA across 89.1 innings in 2023, Severino boasts a 2.31 ERA through 35.0 innings in his first season with the Metropolitans. He's lined up to face the Rays on Saturday.

Severino (2-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Giants, allowing three runs on five hits while striking out five over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Severino held the Giants scoreless through four frames before four singles in the fifth plated three runs, with only one of those knocks being a hard-hit ball. It was his second start of the year allowing no walks and his second straight quality outing after failing to reach six frames in each of his first three starts. The 30-year-old owns a 2.67 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 26:9 K:BB in 27 innings. He lines up to take the rubber again versus the Cubs next week.

Severino (2-1) picked up the win Wednesday in a 9-1 victory over the Pirates, allowing one unearned run on five hits and three walks over six innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Henry Davis reached base to lead off the third inning on a catcher's interference call against Francisco Alvarez and came around to score, but that was the only damage on Severino's line. The right-hander produced his first quality start of the season on 96 pitches (61 strikes), and his 2.14 ERA comes with a 21:9 K:BB through four outings and 21 innings. Severino will take the mound next on the road early next week in San Francisco.

Severino (1-1) picked up the win Friday, allowing one run on one hit and four walks over five innings in a 6-1 victory over the Royals. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander tossed 55 of 90 pitches for strikes, and aside from a solo shot by Salvador Perez in the second inning, Severino kept Kansas City hitters off balance and took advantage of his defense. Severino has yet to last more than five innings in any of his first three starts, but he's delivered a 3.00 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 17:6 K:BB through 15 innings. He'll try to give the Mets a bit more length in his next outing, which lines up as a home start next week against the Pirates.

Severino was charged with two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks over five innings in a no-decision against the Reds on Saturday. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
A fielding error by second baseman Jeff McNeil led to the first run of the game, and Severino gave the Reds another run on a bases-loaded walk later in the same inning. However, he buckled down from there and left with a three-run lead, only for the bullpen to give it up. Severino has a 3.60 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 13:2 K:BB through two starts spanning 10 innings. A projected matchup in Atlanta next week dings his short-term outlook, but the veteran righty will be in the streaming conversation most weeks and should remain rostered in most fantasy leagues, especially in light of the rash of pitching injuries around the league.

Severino (0-1) took the loss Saturday against the Brewers, coughing up six runs on 12 hits over five innings. He struck out six without walking a batter.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander fired 67 of 88 pitches for strikes, but he wasn't exactly fooling anyone and generated only seven swinging strikes, leading to plenty of contact that found holes in the defense. Severino has similar issues in 2023, giving up 113 hits in 89.1 innings for the Yankees en route to a 6.65 ERA, so this was far from an encouraging first outing with the Mets. The team won't pull the plug on Severino yet, but he'll need to deliver better results to earn the trust of fantasy GMs. He's in line to take the mound next weekend in Cincinnati.

Severino threw five innings and about 85 pitches in a minor-league game Tuesday, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander has avoided arm trouble this spring, and he says it's the first time he's felt fully healthy in camp since 2018. Severino allowed just one run on a solo shot over nine Grapefruit League innings with an 8:0 K:BB. Severino is on track to start the Mets' second game of the season, following Jose Quintana in the rotation, and while his ugly numbers for the Yankees last year give fantasy GMs plenty of reason to be nervous about rostering him, he has significant bounce-back potential -- the 30-year-old delivered a 3.18 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 27.7 percent strikeout rate against a 7.4 percent walk rate over 102 innings in 2022.

Severino allowed one run on two hits over four innings in Wednesday's Grapefruit League game against the Astros. He struck out three without walking a batter.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old right-hander is trying to get his career back on track with the Mets after eight seasons with the Yankees, and so far in camp the results have been excellent. The run Severino gave up Wednesday was his first of the spring, and through nine Grapefruit League innings he's posted an 8:0 K:BB while showing good velocity. The Mets are counting on him to plug a hole in their rotation, but since throwing 191.1 innings in 2018, the biggest workload Severino has managed in the majors is 102 innings during 2022 due to a variety of injuries.

Severino struck out one over two scoreless innings in Friday's Grapefruit League game against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
In his first game action of the spring, Severino showed good velocity, topping out at 97.8 mph with his fastball, per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com. Injuries have derailed the 30-year-old righty's career and helped lead to a 6.65 ERA and 1.65 WHIP over 89.1 innings for the Yankees last season, but the Mets are hoping Severino can stay on the mound in 2024 and provide them with some reliable innings.
