Duda, out since May 20 with a stress fracture in his lower back, began light baseball activities Monday in Florida.
EDGE Analysis
Duda was able to run and play catch Monday and the hope is that he will be able to incrementally increase his activity. If all goes well, Duda could begin a Minor League rehab assignment by early August, that will depend on how well his back reacts to the increased activity.

Duda (back) is scheduled to begin baseball activity in Florida next week, ESPN's Adam Rubin reports.
EDGE Analysis
He has been on the DL since May 23 with a stress fracture in his lower back. It sounds like he will be out at least through July, as this is not a rehab assignment, simply some baseball activities. In the meantime, James Loney will continue to get the bulk of the starts at first base for the Mets.

Duda (back) isn't close to beginning a rehab assignment, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Duda, out with a stress fracture in his lower back, looked to be about two weeks away from returning to baseball activities in late-June. The hope was that Duda would be back the end of this month but timeline likely can be tossed away given this recent news. James Loney will continue to man first base for the Mets until/if Duda returns this season.

Duda (back) remains roughly two weeks away from returning to baseball activities, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Duda continues to work back slowly from a stress fracture in his back, which initially landed him on the DL back in May. Given Tuesday's news, Duda appears on pace for a return sometime in the latter half of July following the All-Star break.

Duda (back) has not been cleared for baseball activities, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
Duda remains limited to riding the exercise bike as he continues to rehab from a stress fracture in his lower back. He was given a 4-to-6 week timetable once he was diagnosed with the stress fracture in late May, but we are nearly a month removed from that date and he is still limited in his activity. Once he's able to begin taking dry swings and participating in fielding drills, the Mets will likely release an updated timetable.

Duda, expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks with a stress fracture in his back, has been limited to riding the bike and hopes to begin baseball activities on the early side of proscribed absence period, ESPN New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
Duda won't be able to begin baseball activities until the back is healed. For right now, it's a waiting game. David Wright needed two full months to recover from a similar injury, putting Duda's potential return date at mid-to-late July. For now, James Loney is manning first base for the Mets.

Duda (back) is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with a stress fracture in his back, Adam Rubin of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Terry Collins does not expect his first baseman to be back for a while, which could be a big blow to the middle of the Mets' lineup as Duda has provided a solid seven home runs and 19 RBI through 39 games.

Duda was placed on the 15-day disabled list Monday, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
It appears that manager Terry Collins' hunch was correct: Duda's back issue is pretty serious, and apparently it's serious enough to send the first baseman to the disabled list. It's unclear how long he'll be out, but that should become clearer in the coming days as the results of his doctor visits become known. Infielder Ty Kelly was called up from Triple-A Las Vegas to take his spot on the roster, but Eric Campbell will likely see the bulk of the playing time at first base while the 30-year-old is on the shelf.

Duda (back) saw a doctor Sunday and will see Dr. David Altchek, the Mets team physician, on Monday but manager Terry Collins doesn't sound hopeful that he will be back in the lineup anytime soon, ESPN New York reports. "I'm real concerned, no question," said Collins. "I'm really concerned that this is going to keep this guy out for a while, but that's just me. I'm not the doctor."
EDGE Analysis
Duda has struggled this month, hitting just .175 with one home run in the 17 games he has played. But his presence in the lineup will be difficult to replace. Duda has been battling the back woes for a decent part of the month and underwent an MRI on Saturday, which appears to have revealed something that will sideline him for a while.

Duda (back) is not in the lineup Sunday for the second day in a row.
EDGE Analysis
Duda has dealt with back issues for a week or so, and the Mets are giving him a few days off in an effort to get him back to 100 percent. It's not clear how much longer he will be sidelined, but Eric Campbell will start at first base Sunday for the second time in as many days, and figures to continue manning the position until Duda is ready to return.
