Duda agreed to a one-year, $6.275 million contract with the Mets on Friday, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Duda posted another consistent season in 2015, notching 27 home runs over 471 at-bats while hitting .244/.352/.486. While there's a chance he won't have Yoenis Cespedes in the middle of the order with him again in 2016, there's no reason to believe the 29-year-old won't post another solid campaign in 2016.

EDGE Analysis
Duda handled first base during the entire divisional series versus the Dodgers, yet he managed two hits versus 11 strikeouts in 18 at-bats. For the series opener, manager Terry Collins has opted to hand first to Michael Cuddyer, who will bat sixth in the order.

Duda went 3-for-5 with two homers, three RBI and two runs scored in a 4-3 loss to the Phillies on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Duda was the Mets' offense on Tuesday, launching a solo shot off David Buchanan in the fourth and then bringing New York within one with a two-run blast off Phillies closer Ken Giles in the ninth. He has simply been on fire over the last five games, and a day off against the Reds Sunday and the team's travel day on Monday did nothing to dampen his scorching bat. Duda now has five homers in his last three contests, with an amazing 13 RBI over that span. He is hitting .529 (9-for-17) during his current five-game hitting streak, and appears ready to help spearhead the Mets offense in the postseason.

EDGE Analysis
After clinching the NL East on Saturday, the Mets are rolling out backups at every position but left field and pitcher and Duda is one of the players hitting the bench. Backup catcher Anthony Recker will get the start at first base, batting eighth.

Duda went 1-for-3 with a grand slam and two walks in Saturday's playoff-clinching 10-2 victory over the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Since a recent 0-for-8 stretch over three games earlier in the week, Duda's bat has been scorching. The power-hitting first baseman is hitting .500 (6-for-12) over his last four contests. He also has blasted Reds pitching over the first three games of the current series, with two doubles, three homers and an astounding 12 RBI in 10 at-bats. Duda appears to be hitting his stride at the plate at just the right time as the Mets ready for the first postseason appearance since 2006.

Duda went 2-for-4 with two homers, six RBI and two runs in Friday's win over Cincinnati.
EDGE Analysis
Though he entered Friday's game hitting just .205 since returning to the lineup on Sept. 8, Duda continued to stay patient and find ways to get on base, drawing a dozen walks on his way to a .393 OBP. On Friday, he showed that he can still bop homers despite recovering from a back injury. As the season winds to a close, Duda should stay true to form - a batting-average liability who can pile on the walks and the homers.

Duds went 2-for-3 with two doubles, a walk and two RBI against the Reds on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
He slumped for a while there after returning from the DL, but Duda's shown signs over the last two days, smacking three doubles in five at-bats and drawing three walks. It looks like he could again be a safe fantasy play for power and OBP productivity when the Mets face right-handed pitching over the season's final week or so.
