Hendricks will start Monday in San Diego, Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Cubs have decided to flip-flop Hendricks and Jon Lester in the rotation order; Lester is now starting Sunday's series finale in Milwaukee. This assures that Hendricks will be available to start a game during the team's Sept. 19-22 series against the Cardinals. Hendricks has allowed one run in 23 innings against St. Louis this season.

Hendricks gave up one run on three hits and one walk while striking out seven through six innings in a no-decision against the Mariners on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Hendricks was incredibly efficient, throwing just 81 pitches and striking out seven through his six innings of work. Hendricks has been excellent at home, posting a 1.77 ERA. The 29-year-old has a 3.39 ERA and 132 strikeouts through 26 starts this season. Hendricks is scheduled to make his next start Sunday at Miller Park.

Hendricks allowed six earned runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out three across 4.2 innings Wednesday against the Mets. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Hendricks was given a 10-run lead but couldn't escape the fifth inning to qualify for a win. Instead, he allowed back-to-back homers in his final frame before allowing three of the next four batters he faced to reach base, ending his outing. While Hendricks has pitched exceptionally well since the start of July, he allowed seven earned runs across 2.2 innings just three starts ago. Despite the few recent rough patches, Hendricks still owns a 3.47 ERA and 1.12 WHIP across 148 innings for the campaign. He'll look to bounce-back in his next start, currently scheduled for Monday against Seattle.

Hendricks (9-9) pitched seven scoreless innings to earn the win Thursday against the Giants. He allowed three hits and no walks, while striking out seven.
EDGE Analysis
The Cubs only mustered one run, but Hendricks made it count. The righty posted his second straight strong start, as he allowed just a single run over seven innings his last time out against Pittsburgh. The good stretch has bumped his season ERA down to 3.20, and Hendricks will look to keep it going Wednesday on the road against the Mets.

Hendricks allowed one run on three hits with one walk and one strikeout across seven innings during a no-decision against the Pirates on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Pirates starter Joe Musgrove and Hendricks squared off in an old-fashioned pitcher's duel at PNC Park on Friday, as the pair mowed down batters for seven innings. Musgrove ran into trouble in the eight, putting Hendricks in line for the win, but the Cubs bullpen blew the lead. Still, this was a great way for Hendricks to bounce back after he allowed seven runs on 12 hits in 2.2 innings during his last outing. Hendricks, who will start next at home against the Giants on Thursday, is 8-9 with a 3.37 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 115 strikeouts in 136.1 innings this season.

Hendricks (8-9) allowed seven runs in 2.2 innings to take the loss against the Reds Saturday. He gave up 12 hits while striking out two.
EDGE Analysis
Cincinnati rookie Aristides Aquino took Hendricks deep twice, and the righty also allowed a home run to Nick Senzel. The seven runs are the most Hendricks has allowed in a start since April 26, though he at least managed to go five innings in that outing. The clunker raised his season ERA from 3.06 to 3.48. Hendricks will look to get back on track his next time out Friday against the Pirates.

Hendricks didn't factor into the decision against the Athletics on Monday, giving up two earned runs on one hit over 6.1 innings, striking out five and walking two as the Cubs eventually prevailed 6-5.
EDGE Analysis
Hendricks yielded a two-run homer to Marcus Semien in the third inning, but that was the only hit he gave up in the contest, as he churned out another excellent stat line. The right-hander has now given up two runs or fewer and thrown at least five innings in each of his last five starts, a stretch that has lowered his ERA to 3.06 and his WHIP to 1.09 through 126.2 innings. He'll look to keep it rolling in his next start, which will see him take on the Reds in a Saturday road matchup.

Hendricks (8-8) pitched seven scoreless innings to earn the win Wednesday against the Cardinals. He scattered seven hits and recorded seven strikeouts while not allowing any walks.
EDGE Analysis
Hendricks came up big in a critical spot, as the Cubs tied St. Louis for first in the NL Central with the win. The righty has allowed two runs or fewer in six straight starts to lower his season ERA to a sparkling 3.07. Hendricks will look to keep rolling in his next scheduled outing Monday against the Athletics.

Hendricks logged five scoreless innings but did not factor into the decision in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Brewers. He allowed two hits and two walks, while striking out five.
EDGE Analysis
Hendricks was sharp through five innings, but the Cubs decided to pinch hit for the righty in the top of the sixth after scoring the first two runs of the game on a home run a batter earlier. However, the Chicago bullpen let Hendricks down, allowing a run in the seventh and two more in the eighth to waste his chance at win No. 8. The 29-year-old will carry a strong 3.26 ERA into his next start, which is scheduled for Wednesday against the Cardinals.

EDGE Analysis
Hendricks originally lined up to start Saturday's contest, but manager Joe Maddon opted to shuffle his rotation following Thursday's scheduled off day. The 29-year-old has a 3.60 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 20:7 K:BB in four starts since coming off the injured list in early July.
