Hendricks allowed one run on three hits with one walk and one strikeout across seven innings during a no-decision against the Pirates on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Pirates starter Joe Musgrove and Hendricks squared off in an old-fashioned pitcher's duel at PNC Park on Friday, as the pair mowed down batters for seven innings. Musgrove ran into trouble in the eight, putting Hendricks in line for the win, but the Cubs bullpen blew the lead. Still, this was a great way for Hendricks to bounce back after he allowed seven runs on 12 hits in 2.2 innings during his last outing. Hendricks, who will start next at home against the Giants on Thursday, is 8-9 with a 3.37 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 115 strikeouts in 136.1 innings this season.

Hendricks (8-9) allowed seven runs in 2.2 innings to take the loss against the Reds Saturday. He gave up 12 hits while striking out two.
EDGE Analysis
Cincinnati rookie Aristides Aquino took Hendricks deep twice, and the righty also allowed a home run to Nick Senzel. The seven runs are the most Hendricks has allowed in a start since April 26, though he at least managed to go five innings in that outing. The clunker raised his season ERA from 3.06 to 3.48. Hendricks will look to get back on track his next time out Friday against the Pirates.

Hendricks didn't factor into the decision against the Athletics on Monday, giving up two earned runs on one hit over 6.1 innings, striking out five and walking two as the Cubs eventually prevailed 6-5.
EDGE Analysis
Hendricks yielded a two-run homer to Marcus Semien in the third inning, but that was the only hit he gave up in the contest, as he churned out another excellent stat line. The right-hander has now given up two runs or fewer and thrown at least five innings in each of his last five starts, a stretch that has lowered his ERA to 3.06 and his WHIP to 1.09 through 126.2 innings. He'll look to keep it rolling in his next start, which will see him take on the Reds in a Saturday road matchup.

Hendricks (8-8) pitched seven scoreless innings to earn the win Wednesday against the Cardinals. He scattered seven hits and recorded seven strikeouts while not allowing any walks.
EDGE Analysis
Hendricks came up big in a critical spot, as the Cubs tied St. Louis for first in the NL Central with the win. The righty has allowed two runs or fewer in six straight starts to lower his season ERA to a sparkling 3.07. Hendricks will look to keep rolling in his next scheduled outing Monday against the Athletics.

Hendricks logged five scoreless innings but did not factor into the decision in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Brewers. He allowed two hits and two walks, while striking out five.
EDGE Analysis
Hendricks was sharp through five innings, but the Cubs decided to pinch hit for the righty in the top of the sixth after scoring the first two runs of the game on a home run a batter earlier. However, the Chicago bullpen let Hendricks down, allowing a run in the seventh and two more in the eighth to waste his chance at win No. 8. The 29-year-old will carry a strong 3.26 ERA into his next start, which is scheduled for Wednesday against the Cardinals.

Hendricks will start Friday's game against the Brewers, Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hendricks originally lined up to start Saturday's contest, but manager Joe Maddon opted to shuffle his rotation following Thursday's scheduled off day. The 29-year-old has a 3.60 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 20:7 K:BB in four starts since coming off the injured list in early July.

Hendricks (7-8) yielded two runs on four hits and two walks over seven innings Sunday, striking out five and taking the loss against San Diego.
EDGE Analysis
After four scoreless innings to start the afternoon, Fernando Tatis Jr. tagged Hendricks with an RBI single in the fifth before Francisco Mejia put the team ahead on a seventh-inning solo shot. It was another quality start for Hendricks, who simply didn't get much help from his offense. He'll carry a 3.41 ERA into Saturday's start in Milwaukee.

Hendricks allowed two runs on four hits and two walks over six innings Monday, striking out five batters and taking the no-decision in the loss to Cincinnati.
EDGE Analysis
Over his last three starts, Hendricks had gone 0-3 without making it through five innings in any outing. Despite coughing up a pair of solo shots, the 29-year-old left the game with a 3-2 lead but the Cubs' bullpen blew the game and cost him his eighth victory. Hendricks will try for his first win since June 9 at home against the Padres on Sunday.

Hendricks (7-7) took the loss Sunday against the White Sox, allowing two runs on four hits over four innings. He walked two and struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
All of the damage against Hendricks came on a two-run home run by Eloy Jimenez in the fourth inning. The righty only threw 86 pitches in this one, but seeing as he recently missed some time with right shoulder inflammation, the Cubs weren't willing to push him in the last game before the All-Star break. Hendricks finishes the first half with a 3.49 ERA and 85:19 K:BB across 95.1 innings.

Hendricks (7-6) allowed two runs on four hits with one walk and four strikeouts across three innings while taking a loss against the Pirates on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander gave up runs in the first and third, and then a lengthy rain delay arrived. When play resumed, the Cubs went to their bullpen, which promptly allowed the Pirates to increase their lead. Despite the short outing because of the weather, Hendricks remained on the hook and suffered his second straight loss. He is 7-6 with a 3.45 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 79 strikeouts in 91.1 innings this year. Unless the Cubs decide to move things around in their rotation because Hendricks only threw 55 pitches Tuesday, he won't take the mound again until after the All-Star break.
