Pillar is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mets, SportsNet's Barry Davis reports.
With the exception of a doubleheader June 2, Pillar hasn't been held out of the lineup since May 20. If he's not injured and is simply getting a day off, the timing is quite favorable, with Toronto facing Mets ace Matt Harvey on Tuesday.

Pillar went 2-for-5 with a RBI, a run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's victory over the Red Sox.
That's now three straight multi-hit games for Pillar, who raised his batting average to .251. He also is tied for the team lead in stolen bases with nine. While he doesn't have too much power and doesn't have a great slash line either, his speed and occasional pop makes him an intriguing value play. He seized an outfield role early on this season and his defense will keep him in the lineup every day for the surging Blue Jays.

Pillar went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs and his eighth stolen base in Tuesday's win over Miami.
Pillar now has four multi-hit games in his last six and has raised his OPS by 100 points in the past 10 games. He's still struggling at .245/.287/.366, but in a bare Jays outfield, he'll be given a chance to stay on a roll.

Pillar went 2-for-4 Saturday with a double, a run scored and two RBI.
He's now hitting a robust .414 (12-for-29) over his last eight games with three home runs, eight RBI and nine runs. Pillar won't keep up that kind of pace, of course, but as long as he's supplying some kind of offense, his spot as the Jays' starting center fielder should be secure.

Pillar went 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader, a 7-3 victory over the Nationals.
Pillar doubled his season's home run total from two to four and had his first multi-home run game of his career. After being benched for the opener, Pillar had a monster game, hitting what amounted to the game-winning home run in the sixth inning, a three-run blast. If he can carry this momentum into sustained success, he may have value in daily leagues, but for now, he still has limited fantasy value.

Pillar is out of the lineup for the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Nationals, Brendan Kennedy of the Toronto Star reports.
Pillar started each of the previous 10 games, and the Jays planned to rest him for Monday's contest, which was ultimately postponed due to rain. Pillar will likely rejoin the lineup for the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader, against early Cy Young favorite Max Scherzer.

Pillar is not in the lineup Monday against the Nationals, MLB.com's Gregor Chisholm reports.
Pillar has started the last 10 contests, so he'll get the day off as the Jays go with a starting outfield of Jose Bautista (right field), Ezequiel Carrera (center) and Chris Colabello (left).

Pillar went 1-for-3 Saturday with a walk and a solo shot, his second home run of the season.
He seems to be pulling out of his recent slump, and Pillar now has four hits and four runs scored over his last three games. His spot in the Jays' starting lineup is secure, if only due to a lack of competition, but if Dalton Pompey starts heating up in the minors, Pillar will need to pick up the pace at the plate.

Pillar went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in a 6-4 win over Minnesota on Friday.
Pillar is hitting only .167 for the month of May, but Friday's performance gives him something to build on. He's a terrific defensive outfielder and he chips in some steals here and there, but Pillar's lackluster bat makes him primarily an AL-only fantasy option.

Pillar is out of the lineup Wednesday, SportsNet's Shi Davidi reports.
This would appear to be just a standard day off for Pillar, who has been playing everyday in center field. Ezequiel Carrera will get the start in center field and hit sixth Wednesday.
