Pillar went 2-for-4 with a double, a stolen base and two runs scored in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Orioles. After a bit of a slump, where Pillar went 0-for-11 in this past weekend's series against the Red Sox, he righted the ship with another multi-hit game. While his value is mostly derived from his defense, his .260 batting average may not be noteworthy to fantasy owners, but is a major asset to the Blue Jays. His lack of power and a low OBP gives him limited fantasy value, but he does have six stolen bases on the season and 12 extra-base hits.

Pillar went 2-for-4 with a run scored in Wednesday's 5-1 victory over the Yankees. Pillar has been one of the biggest surprises for the Blue Jays as he continues to swing a hot bat while providing an excellent presence in the outfield defensively. He's hitting for a comfortable .277/.308/.402 slash line and should stay as the everyday center fielder for the foreseeable future.

Pillar went 2-for-4 with a triple, two RBI and a stolen base in Friday's 9-4 loss to the Indians. Pillar is now riding a five-game hitting streak, going 9-for-20 (.450) over that span with three multi-hit games to his credit. Even more impressively, he has an extra-base hit in each of those games as well (four doubles and a triple). Pillar's defense has been nothing short of revelatory and he's swinging a hot bat as well. Pillar is an interesting pickup in AL-Only leagues and a good value play in daily leagues, particularly while he's on this hot streak.

Pillar will bat fifth Friday against the Indians. Almost all of Pillar's at-bats this season have come in the bottom third of the order, but he got a start in the five-hole Wednesday and will get another Friday with Devon Travis (collarbone) on the bench. Pillar has posted just a .297 OBP and one home run to this point, but it looks like he'll continue to see regular playing time at least until Jose Bautista returns to the outfield, and perhaps beyond.

Pillar singled twice, doubled, drew a walk, stole a base and scored two runs in five plate appearances Tuesday against the Red Sox. A productive game for Pillar, who's been a lineup fixture despite offering not much more than so-so offense thus far. Thanks to the five hits he's racked up in the last two days, Pillar is hitting .275, but he has just one homer, three steals and a modest .689 OPS to go with it.

Pillar went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs Wednesday in a win over Tampa Bay. He's now hit safely in eight of nine games so far this year, so Pillar's doing his level best to make an impression and retain a good-sized share of at-bats when Michael Saunders returns. He's quite playable in deeper and AL-only formats.

Pillar went 2-for-4 with a RBI in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Rays. Pillar now has a hit in seven of the team's eight games with two multi-hit games under his belt already this season. His .290/.290/.452 slash line has been one of the surprises of the season for the team as his average is second among qualifying players and he leads qualifying players in slugging percentage on the team. It will be interesting to see how his playing time is impacted by the return of Michael Saunders, who is currently recovering from a knee injury, but Pillar has staked his claim to as many at bats as the team can find for him.

Pillar hit his first home run of the season in the Blue Jays' 10-7 victory over the Orioles on Sunday. Pillar has collected a hit in five of the team's first six games and has established himself as a fantastic defensive option. HIs strong start both in the field and at the plate makes the news that Michael Saunders had a setback in his rehab more palatable. Pillar doesn't usually have a big impact when it comes to counting stats, but if he's on the field playing every day, he has some, albeit limited, fantasy value.

Pillar made the Opening Day roster, Sportsnet's Shi Davidi reports. With Michael Saunders (knee) expected to miss the first week or two of the season, Pillar should get some extra playing time in left field. Once Saunders is healthy, Pillar will likely be the fourth outfielder, which could still leave him with a good bit of playing time.

Pillar (oblique) is set to take batting practice on Sunday and then again on Tuesday before returning to the lineup on Wednesday, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports. Pillar was having a very good spring, hitting for a .269 batting average with a home run and a stolen base, before an unfortunate sneezing accident shut him down from baseball activities. With Michael Saunders progressing ahead of schedule, Pillar is fighting to be the fourth outfielder. If he does get that job, he still provides limited fantasy value as he doesn't pick up a ton of counting stats.
