Gausman (10-9) allowed four hits and three walks through seven scoreless innings to earn the win Saturday against the Red Sox. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
Gausman got back on track after a rough last time out, and he's now tossed six quality starts in his last eight outings to lower his ERA below 5.00 for the first time since April 13. The 26-year-old is enjoying the best stretch of his season, compiling five wins to go along with a 2.26 ERA and 52:19 K:BB over his last 45.2 innings. He'll look to keep things rolling in his next scheduled start, which comes against the Blue Jays on Friday.

Gausman (9-9) allowed five runs on six hits and four walks while striking out three across four innings to take the loss Saturday against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Gausman gave up four home runs to force his early exit from the contest, leading to his ninth loss of the season. This was just the second time over his past six starts that he's allowed more than two earned runs, and despite a 5.25 ERA, fantasy managers may consider him a solid matchup option. He'll make his next start Friday against the Red Sox.

Gausman (9-8) tossed seven innings and allowed two runs on six hits and a walk with six strikeouts to earn the victory Monday over the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Gausman is on a roll, as he has now tossed five quality starts in his last six outings. This is his best stretch of the season, in which he is enjoying a 4-1 record, 1.80 ERA and a 44:12 K:BB over 40 innings. Gausman has established himself as the ace of this Orioles staff, and if the Orioles are going to make a run at a postseason spot, it will be on his back.

Gausman (8-8) allowed four runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out six Angels over 5.1 innings in Wednesday's loss.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander's streak of four straight quality starts came to an end Wednesday in Los Angeles. He danced around trouble most of the afternoon, inducing an impressive 20 swinging strikes, but a sixth-inning, two-run homer by C.J. Cron spelled the end for Gausman. The 26-year-old will look to get back on track in his next start Monday in Seattle.

Gausman tossed seven innings of one-run ball, allowing just three hits and one walk while striking out eight Tigers in Friday's no-decision.
EDGE Analysis
Gausman turned over a 2-1 lead to the O's bullpen that was immediately squandered in a four-run eighth inning by Detroit. Despite the disappointing no-decision, the right-hander continued his impressive turnaround after a miserable first half. He's 5-0 with 57 strikeouts in his last eight starts (48 innings). Over Gausman's last four outings, the 26-year-old has allowed just two earned runs through 27.2 innings, lowering his ERA to its lowest point since April 13. Although his next start is listed for Thursday in Oakland, it may be bumped to Wednesday in Los Angeles if Chris Tillman is moved to the bullpen as expected.

Gausman enjoyed his best month of the campaign by going 4-0 with a 3.63 ERA and 45 strikeouts over six July starts and 34.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander will enter August with his best ERA and winning percentage since April 13. Gausman's now pitched into the sixth inning while allowing one run or less in five of his last seven starts. July's 11.7 K/9 blew away the 26-year-old's career mark of 8.3 K/9, while last month's 3.47 FIP also trumped Gausman's career 4.12 FIP. After a brutal first half of 2017, he's landed in the waiver pool in many formats, but his recent performances suggest a late-season rebound is in order.

Gausman (8-7) allowed seven hits and three walks and struck out eight over 8.2 shutout innings in Saturday's victory against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Gausman has now won five straight decisions and has struck out at least eight in four of those. That said, he has lacked consistency -- in two no-decisions since his last loss on June 21, Gausman gave up five runs and eight runs respectively. Gausman's ERA sits at an ugly 5.37, but with Saturday's gem, Gausman now has quality starts in three straight outings and four of his last six.

Gausman (7-7) pitched six scoreless innings with eight strikeouts through six innings during Monday's win over Tampa Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Gausam's up-and-down season continues, and he's now won four of his past eight outings with just a single run surrendered and 29 strikeouts over 24.1 innings during the wins. Unfortunately, he allowed 21 runs through the other four outings. As a result, it's extremely difficult to trust Gausman in the majority of fantasy settings. He lines up for a potentially daunting matchup against the Rangers at Globe Life Park in Arlington next.

Gausman (6-7) struck out eight Rangers while allowing just a single run on four hits and two walks over six innings in a 10-2 victory Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Starts like this one have certainly been the exception rather than the rule for the flame-throwing 26-year-old in 2017, and he needed a positive outing badly with manager Buck Showalter recently having floated the possibility of a demotion to the minors. Gausman has been truly horrendous this season, as that 6.11 ERA and 1.75 WHIP loudly advertise, and it'll take more than one good game for him to get back in the circle of trust for fantasy owners. Fortunately, his next start will come Monday against the Rays, whom he shut out over seven innings with nine strikeouts in his first start of July.

Manager Buck Showalter said sending Gausman to the minors is "always an option," but he didn't indicate whether it's close to happening, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
A trip down to Triple-A Norfolk can only help Gausman at this point. He's posted career-worst numbers across the board through 20 starts and 100 innings so far. Much like the Cubs' Kyle Schwarber, the O's right-hander can't seem to get on track at the big-league level, so there's no reason not to relieve Gausman of pressure while he works to right the ship.
