Lagares is out of the lineup against Miami on Wednesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lagares heads to the bench following eight straight starts, slashing .100/.206/.167 with two extra-base hits and one RBI during that span. In his place, Norichika Aoki moves over to center while Travis Taijeron will man right field.

Lagares went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Thursday's win over Cincinnati.
EDGE Analysis
Lagares now sports an eight-game hitting streak and has also recorded an extra-base hit in four straight contests. While his .309/.345/.509 slash line over the past 14 outings is rock-solid, it's resulted in just one homer, six RBI and six runs. His defense will keep him in the lineup, so while Lagares' counting stats aren't piling up in a hurry, he offers a respectable fantasy floor for deeper settings.

Lagares will start in center field and bat eighth Tuesday against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
The injuries to Michael Conforto (shoulder) and Yoenis Cespedes (hamstring) should keep Lagares locked into a near-everyday role the rest of the way, but he'll be forced to move near the bottom of the order Tuesday with manager Terry Collins making room in the lineup for Jose Reyes, who picks up his first career start in left field. Lagares had typically been serving as the club's No. 2 hitter of late and performed well in that capacity, going 7-for-19 with three steals over his previous four games. It shouldn't be long before Lagares gets another trial in the top half of the order.

Lagares went 2-for-5 with a double, a run scored, an RBI and two stolen bases in Friday's win over the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Playing center field and hitting second, Lagares doubled his steals total on the year. He's slashing just .211/.250/.263 since coming off the DL a couple of weeks ago, but with Michael Conforto (shoulder) and Yoenis Cespedes (hamstring) now out for extended periods and possibly the remainder of the season, Lagares figures to be a fixture in center down the stretch, and he could provide fantasy GMs with a modest speed boost as a result.

Lagares (thumb) was activated by the Mets prior to Thursday's game against the Phillies, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lagares has been out since June 15 with a fractured thumb, but is ready to rejoin the Mets and take the place of the recently-departed Jay Bruce as the club begins a four-game set in Philadelphia. The outfielder was able to compete in eight games with Double-A Binghamton thus far in August, going 7-for-29 at the plate and shaking off the rust in the minors. Lagares will serve primarily off the bench while providing depth in the outfield moving forward.

Lagares (thumb) is set to head out on a rehab assignment with Double-A Binghampton on Tuesday, James Wagner of The New York Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lagares appears to be nearing a return to the Mets after missing more than a month and a half with a fractured left thumb. It's unclear how long his rehab assignment will last, but he'll likely need multiple games given how long he's been sidelined.

Lagares underwent successful surgery on his fractured left thumb Monday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Mets have yet to make a timetable for Lagares's return known. The All-Star break is three weeks away, though, and considering Lagares was forced to the operating table, it would be surprising if he makes it back before then.

Lagares was placed on the DL on Friday due to fractured thumb.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, the outfielder will hit the 10-day DL after fracturing the IP joint in his left thumb. It's unclear just how much time Lagares will miss, but in his absence the Mets figure to go with an outfield of Yoenis Cespedes, Michael Conforto and Jay Bruce, with Curtis Granderson as the No. 4 option. The Mets also placed Matt Harvey on the disabled list Friday, and both Matt Reynolds and Brandon Nimmo were recalled to fill the two vacant roster spots.

Lagares (thumb) will require a stint on the disabled list, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Lagares will hit the DL after suffering a fractured IP joint in his left thumb. The Mets have yet to make the official roster move, but they have conceded that Lagares will be on the disabled list for an undetermined amount of time. If healthy, the Mets' usual outfield lineup will consist of Yoenis Cespedes, Michael Conforto, and Jay Bruce with Curtis Granderson serving as the fourth outfielder off the bench. However, the Mets may opt to bring up an outfielder from their system to add outfield depth in Lagares' absence.

X-rays taken Thursday revealed that Lagares suffered a fracture in his left thumb, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is another significant injury for a Mets club that has already lost Matt Harvey and Neil Walker in the last 24 hours. Lagares suffered the injury making a diving play in the field Thursday against the Nationals, and though he was able to finish out the half-inning, he was ultimately replaced by Curtis Granderson. With injuries already wreaking havoc in the Mets' outfield, the club may need to tap into its farm system to find a suitable replacement. That said, Curtis Granderson should have a clearer path to more regular playing time with Lagares sidelined.
