Reddick is out of the lineup Thursday against the White Sox, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Reddick's absence is hardly surprising, given his .170/.240/.193 batting line against lefties and the fact that ace Chris Sale is on the hill for Chicago. The A's are facing another lefty Friday (James Paxton), so Reddick could end up getting a two-day break.

Reddick hit his 11th homer and drove in two runs on Monday night against the White Sox. Reddick's bomb was big at the time as it tied a game in which the A's were losing 2-0. Reddick has been quite solid since the All-Star Break, hitting .284 with a .866 OPS. In addition, he has seven homers in only 134 at-bats after hitting only four (with a .229 batting average) in the first half in 179 at-bats. Reddick could be a sneaky add down the stretch since a lot of owners gave up on during his rough first half.

Reddick is out of the lineup Sunday against the Astros. Reddick will sit with the left-handed Dallas Keuchel on the mound for the Astros. Craig Gentry gets the start in right field Sunday and will bat second for the Athletics.

Reddick is out of the lineup Friday against the Astros. Manager Bob Melvin has all but rid his lineup of lefty-only bats to take on Brett Oberholtzer, with the lone exception being Adam Dunn at DH. Reddick looks like he could use a breather, having recorded just four hits in his last 24 at-bats (.166 average).

Reddick is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Astros. With lefty Dallas Keuchel on the hill for Houston, A's manager Bob Melvin has rid his lineup entirely of lefty-only bats. Reddick homered again Monday night, his 10th of the season and sixth since coming off the DL on July 22, but he's just 15-for-83 (.181 average) against southpaws this season.

Reddick connected on his 10th home run of the season Monday in Oakland's 8-2 win against the Astros. Reddick has now hit safely in four straight and homered in two of his last four. The outfielder has been slowed down by injuries this season, hitting .256 with the 10 home runs and 39 RBI in 281 at-bats.

Reddick is out of the lineup again Saturday. Sam Fuld will once again start in right field, as Reddick sits for the third time in five games. Reddick's splits (.181 average against lefties) dictate that he'll probably be a strict platoon partner the rest of the way, so it's no surprise to see him sit with southpaw C.J. Wilson on the mound for the Angels.

Reddick is out of the lineup Friday against the Angels. This will be just his second day out of the lineup over the A's last nine games, as Sam Fuld will patrol right field. Reddick has been excellent in the second half, hitting .302 with five home runs in 27 games.

Reddick slammed his ninth home run of the year, while going 1-for-3 at the plate with a walk, two RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's game against the Mets. Ever since coming off the DL on July 22, Reddick has started to reemerge as quality fantasy asset, and has five home runs, eight doubles and 13 RBI in his 26 games since being activated. He has also raised his batting average from .229 to .255 in the process.

Reddick is out of the lineup Sunday against the Braves. Reddick has started every August game in right field for the As, but will give way to Brandon Moss Sunday, with Jonny Gomes stepping in to play left field. Reddick has been effective since his July 22 return from the disabled list, slashing .303/.330/.551 with four home runs over the 25-game span.
