Josh Johnson permitted six runs -- one earned -- on seven hits and two walks over just five innings in Wednesday's loss to the Tigers. Johnson's defense really let him down in the second inning in particular, as Emilio Bonifacio let a sure double play ball go through his legs prior to four runs crossing the plate. Still, it's not as if Johnson pitched effectively. The righty has now allowed 15 runs -- 10 earned -- over his last three starts. He'll try to rebound in Cleveland next week.

Josh Johnson was chased for five runs in 3 1/3 innings Friday in a no-decision against the Red Sox. Johnson needed 91 pitches just to get 10 outs. He really labored, giving up eight hits and two walks. While Johnson appeared poised for a big season following an impressive spring, he now has a 5.21 ERA through nine starts. He'll look to bounce back next week in a tough matchup against the Tigers at home.

Josh Johnson won his first game as a Blue Jay Sunday, allowing four runs over six frames in a 13-5 victory over the Orioles. Johnson gave up seven hits, walked one and struck out five. He had only thrown 89 pitches, but manager John Gibbson decided to give him the hook after he yielded a single and a homer to start off the seventh. Johnson now holds a 2.84 ERA in four starts since returning from the disabled list and should be in your lineup despite a tough matchup in Boston on Friday.

After having his start pushed back by a blister, Josh Johnson struck out 10 over 7 1/3 scoreless innings against the Rockies on Monday. It was Johnson's seventh career 10-strikeout game, but the other six all came back in 2009 and 2010. His season high this year was eight. Johnson didn't hang on long enough to get a win tonight, as the Jays didn't score until the bottom of the eighth, but he'll certainly start winning some games if he keeps pitching like this. He has a 1.86 ERA in three starts since coming off the DL.

Josh Johnson (finger) will have his next start pushed back to Monday against the Rockies. Johnson is currently dealing with a blister on his right middle finger. He was previously pushed back to Sunday, but the Blue Jays want to give him more time to heal. Chien-Ming Wang will now start Sunday against the Rangers on regular rest.

Josh Johnson's next start has been pushed back from Saturday to Sunday due to a blister. Given that he's only being pushed back a day, the Blue Jays don't seem to have much concern. R.A. Dickey will move up a day to start Saturday.

Josh Johnson yielded three runs on five hits and four walks over just five innings in Sunday's loss to the Rangers. Johnson was unable to consistently find the strike zone all day, as he required 109 pitches to complete the five frames. He's now been good in one start and bad in another since coming back from the DL, which accurately describes his season so far. He'll carry a 5.40 ERA and 1.64 WHIP into a tough matchup in Texas next weekend.

Josh Johnson was effective in his return from the DL, allowing two runs -- one earned -- over seven innings in a loss to the Giants. Johnson gave up a two-run homer to Andres Torres in the second after an Edwin Encarnacion throwing error opened the frame. Unfortunately, that was all the Giants would need tonight in a 2-1 game. Johnson struck out six and walked none, so it was an encouraging performance after a six-week absence. He'll get the White Sox next.

Josh Johnson (triceps) will be activated from the disabled list to start Tuesday against the Giants. Johnson gave up six runs on eight hits in 4 2/3 innings Thursday in his third rehab start, but the important part is that he feels good. The 29-year-old right-hander has been sidelined since April 21 with right triceps inflammation. He had a 6.86 ERA over his first four starts, so fantasy owners may want to wait and see before activating him.
