Schoop went 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBI in Thursday's win against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Schoop entered Thursday with 78 extra-base hits in 260 career games, but no triples. On a 3-1 count, Right-hander Alex Wilson threw a 95-mph heater over the outside corner, and Schoop went with it, shooting a line drive inside the right-field line and to the wall. Schoop made it to third without a throw, capping a furious five-run rally in the seventh inning. After hitting just .218 in 78 April at-bats, the second baseman has picked it up in May, hitting .325 through his first 40 at-bats of the month.

Schoop went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and a solo shot, his fifth home run of the season, in Sunday's 11-3 rout of the A's.
EDGE Analysis
He also extended his hitting streak to 11 games in the process. After slumping in late April, Schoop is now hitting .257/.284/.457 on the season and while he's now likely to become a big asset in batting average or OBP, he should continue to supply good power for a middle infielder.

Schoop was 3-for-4 with two homers and three RBI in Friday's 11-5 victory over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
The three-veteran victimized a pair of Rangers relievers on his blasts, touching up Tom Wilhemsen for a two-run shot in the seventh before getting to Andrew Faulkner for a solo shot in the eighth. Schoop has now hit safely in nine of 10 games this season, but Friday's effort marked his first multi-hit outing of the season. He's providing some solid production in the latter half of the Orioles lineup, and is now slashing a .314/.351/.686 line in 2016.

Schoop hit his fourth home run Thursday and has cut down on his strikeouts this spring with just seven whiffs in 62 at-bats.
EDGE Analysis
Schoop slashed .355/.385/.581 through Thursday and has made a lot of contact this spring. He still struggles to take walks and is likely to hit ninth in the order. That said, if he is healthy for a full season 20 home runs would seem like his floor.

Schoop went 2-for-3 in Tuesday's Grapefruit League game against Toronto, lifting his spring line to .414/.433/.586 over 29 at-bats.
EDGE Analysis
Although his low-OBP tendencies will likely prompt manager Buck Showalter to use Schoop in the bottom of third of the order, he's flashed the power necessary to be a cheap source of home runs and RBI given his hitter-friendly home park and the quality of the bats ahead of him in the Baltimore lineup. Schoop should begin 2016 with a strong hold on the everyday role at second base for the Orioles.

Schoop (hand) remains out of the lineup for the season finale Sunday against the Yankees, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Schoop will sit for the season finale Sunday, a second X-ray returned clean, indicating doesn't have a broken hand. He should be back and healthy for the start of spring training.

Schoop (hand) is not in the lineup for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports.
EDGE Analysis
This does not come as a surprise, as Schoop was experiencing swelling in his hand Saturday morning. Ryan Flaherty will start at second base Saturday and Schoop should be considered questionable for the final game of the regular season Sunday.

Schoop's (hand) availability Saturday will be evaluated by the hour, MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schoop is still experiencing swelling in his hand. The Orioles have little incentive to push Schoop, who will have an MRI Monday after the season is over. It seems unlikely he will get any more than one start between Saturday and Sunday. Jones is not in the lineup for Saturday's first game of a doubleheader.

Schoop will undergo an X-ray on his hand Saturday and an MRI on his knee Monday, Roch Kubatko of MASN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schoop continues to have swelling in his hand. The MRI will also be with an arthogram, and he will have dye injected during the procedure as well. It remains unclear exactly how much more time Schoop may miss.

Schoop says his hand feels better but is still experiencing swelling, Roch Kubatko of MASN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schoop underwent X-rays on his right hand Thursday that returned negative, but his status for Friday's contest is still unclear. He'll try swinging a bat later in the day, and could be available if he's able to do that without pain.
