Gray allowed two runs on six hits and a pair of walks over seven innings Sunday against the Dodgers. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Gray put together his fourth consecutive quality start, limiting the Dodgers to a two-run homer by Justin Turner in the third inning. The performance lowered Gray's ERA to 3.68, which would challenge the career-best 3.67 mark he posted in 2017. The 29-year-old is 6-6 on the year with a 1.22 WHIP and 87:37 K:BB in 93 innings, and his home ERA (3.22 in nine starts) at Coors Field is actually considerably better than his road number (4.54 in seven starts).

Gray (6-6) won Sunday's 3-1 game against San Diego, allowing one run on three hits and three walks with seven strikeouts in six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gray's only problem inning was the second, when he loaded the bases with none out but was able to induce two ground balls to escape the jam with just one Padre crossing the plate. He fell in line for the win following a Chris Owings home run in the top of the seventh to bring his overall record back to .500 at 6-6. He enters the break having tossed three consecutive quality starts and with a solid 3.77 ERA.

Gray didn't factor in the decision against Arizona on Tuesday. He pitched six innings and gave up three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out eight.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran looked to be in for a rough outing when the first four hitters he faced in the game each slugged a double. Those two-baggers yielded three Arizona runs, but they were all the Diamondbacks ended up mustering against Gray on the evening. Following the barrage of doubles, Gray retired 10 straight hitters and gave up only two more hits -- both singles -- the rest of the way. He finished with his second straight quality start and seventh overall on the season. Gray will carry a 3.94 ERA into his next start, which is tentatively lined up to come Sunday at San Diego.

Gray (5-6) picked up the win Wednesday against the Pirates, fanning five while allowing two runs on two hits and four walks across six innings.
EDGE Analysis
While the four free passes are less than ideal for the right-hander, Gray should feel good about the direction he's heading in after another strong start. The two runs he yielded in the first inning mark his only blip across 11 innings since being activated from the injured list June 25 and he now holds a respectable 3.89 ERA on the campaign. Gray lines up to take the ball Tuesday in Arizona.

Gray allowed five hits and no walks while striking out 10 in five innings in Friday's loss to the Brewers. He didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Gray returned to the mound after he missed the last three weeks with a right elbow strain, and he was dominant Friday while throwing 83 pitches. He racked up double-digit strikeouts for the 15th time in his career, which tied Pedro Astacio for the most appearances with double-digit strikeouts in franchise history. The right-hander hasn't earned a win since May 5, and his performance Friday was his first scoreless appearance of the season. Gray tentatively lines up to make his next start at home against the Pirates on Wednesday.

Gray (elbow) was activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Friday's start at Milwaukee.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old missed the past three weeks with a strained right elbow, but he'll rejoin the rotation in Friday's series opener. Gray had a 2.54 ERA and 1.09 WHIP through his first five starts of the campaign, but he posted a 5.71 ERA in his previous seven outings before landing on the injured list.

Gray (elbow) will return from the 10-day injured list to start Friday's series opener in Milwaukee, MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gray received the green light to return from the IL after he struck out six while allowing two runs over four innings in his rehab start last weekend at Triple-A Albuquerque. He tossed 62 pitches in that outing, so he'll likely only have a light workload restriction as he steps back into the Colorado rotation. Gray has been on the shelf since June 5 with a right flexor strain.

Gray (elbow) is expected to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday, Nick Groke of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gray is slated to serve as the starter for Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday, and he could rejoin the Rockies' rotation next weekend in Milwaukee if all goes well. The right-hander threw a bullpen session Thursday and has been working on the timing of his delivery recently.

Gray (elbow) will throw a bullpen session Thursday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gray was hopeful that his next throwing session would be a simulated game, but he said that he needs to work on the timing of his delivery before he faces hitters. However, the right-hander said that he feels healthy, and it's encouraging that he'll be able to resume mound work Thursday. A timetable for his return to the major-league rotation isn't yet clear.

Rockies manager Bud Black said Gray (elbow) will play catch from 90-to-100 feet Thursday, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gray is initiating his throwing program just under a week after he was pulled from his start against the Athletics with a right flexor strain. The injury appears to be mild, and the right-hander looks on track to return from the injured list shortly after he's first eligible to return July 15. Black said the Rockies plan to have Gray ramp up the intensity of his throwing program over the weekend, when the right-hander will presumably advance to pitching off a mound and facing hitters in live batting practice.
