John Danks (shoulder) underwent an MRI on Monday. White Sox manager Robin Ventura said Sunday that there was "no bad news" after Danks had his shoulder examined by Dr. Lewis Yocum over the weekend, but MRI results should provide more clarity on the situation. The southpaw hasn't pitched for nearly a month due to left shoulder soreness.

White Sox manager Robin Ventura said he received "no bad news" from John Danks' visit with Dr. Lewis Yocum. There was no further elaboration on the results, or a potential timetable given for Danks' return, but it's encouraging to know there wasn't any structural damage in the lefty's throwing shoulder. Danks will likely need another one or two rehab starts before returning and could struggle to make it back before the end of June.

John Danks (shoulder) is unlikely to rejoin the White Sox rotation Monday. Danks experienced more soreness than expected while playing catch Thursday, and he's not sure if he'll be able to throw a bullpen session Friday. If he's unable to do so, his return will be backed up indefinitely. "Hopefully I feel well enough to throw a side (Friday). But I obviously didn't expect to feel quite this sore,'' he said. "I've never had this, so I didn't know what to expect. I was hoping to bounce back a little better than I have. If I can't throw a side, then who knows?''

John Danks acknowledged Thursday that he's still feeling some pain in his left shoulder. Danks allowed three runs (one earned) over four innings Tuesday in a rehab start with Triple-A Charlotte. The veteran southpaw said the soreness was expected, but admitted that he's a little disappointed. We should know more on his status after he throws a bullpen session Friday, but his return to the White Sox doesn't sound imminent at the moment.

John Danks (shoulder) allowed three runs (one earned) over four innings Tuesday in a rehab start with Triple-A Charlotte. Danks gave up four hits and a walk while throwing just 34 out of 61 pitches for strikes. The White Sox haven't made a decision on where his next start will be, but it sounds like another rehab outing could be in order. The veteran southpaw has been sidelined since May 19 due to left shoulder soreness.

John Danks (shoulder) made it through his second bullpen session Saturday without any setbacks. Danks is scheduled to make a rehab appearance with Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday before being re-evaluated. He could return to the team by the end of next week, though the White Sox have yet to set an exact timetable. Jose Quintana will continue to start in the interim.

John Danks (shoulder) had a successful bullpen session Wednesday and has been cleared to make a rehab start next week. It's not clear when exactly or where it will be, but it will likely be early in the week, setting Danks up for a return that weekend. He's been out since mid-May with soreness behind his left shoulder.

John Danks (shoulder) will make one minor league rehab start before returning from the disabled list. We'll likely know where and when after he gets through a throwing session Wednesday. Danks has been sidelined for a little over two weeks due to left shoulder soreness.

John Danks (shoulder) thinks he'll probably need a rehab start before rejoining the White Sox rotation. Danks had another successful bullpen session Sunday, but the Sox evidently want him to test out the shoulder versus minor league batters first. It's not clear when the outing will come, but it should be sometime this week.
