White Sox general manager Ken Williams indicated Monday that he is reluctant to trade John Danks.
Danks is drawing interest around the league, including multiple reports connecting him to the Rangers, but Williams isn't sure he will be able to get fair value in return. "First of all, the climate for teams giving up young pitching hasn't been sunny in a few years," said Williams. "Secondly, it's seems like every year, we all sit down and people are worried about the pitching." Danks, who turns 27 in April, is due between $7-8 million in his final year of arbitration.

The Rangers have expressed interested in acquiring John Danks, according to FoxSports.com's Ken Rosenthal.
The White Sox are looking to move payroll and Danks is a prime candidate to be dealt. It would all seem to indicate the Rangers are prepared to evaluate fallback options in case free agent C.J. Wilson departs, and Danks could potentially be their top choice. The 26-year-old lefty posted an 8-12 record in 27 apperances this past season, with a 4.33 ERA and 135/45 K/BB ratio.

John Danks was decent against the Royals Sunday, surrendering four runs -- three earned -- on 10 hits over six innings in a 10-5 win.
It wasn't a great effort, but after Danks served up 21 runs over his previous three outings, it's definitely a step in the right direction. The owner of a 4.36 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP for the year, he'll try for win No. 8 next weekend in another matchup with the Royals.

John Danks allowed one run in six innings and struck out a season-high 10 Wednesday in a victory over the Tigers.
Danks has been very sharp in both of his starts since coming off the disabled list. Of course, he was also pitching much better before suffering a strained oblique. In his last six outings, including the one in which he was hurt in the second inning, he's given up a total of four earned runs and lowered his ERA from 5.25 to 3.79.

John Danks was excellent in his return from the disabled list on Wednesday evening against the Royals, allowing just five hits in seven scoreless innings of Chicago's eventual 2-1, 11-inning loss in Kansas City.
He struck out six while issuing just one free pass, throwing 110 pitches. Tonight was as good an effort as could have been hoped for with Danks returning form a strained oblique, and gives him a 3.92 ERA and 1.32 WHIP heading into his next start, which should come against the Tigers at home.
