Hellickson (4-4) surrendered nine hits, seven earned runs and three walks over six innings in Friday's 9-6 loss to the Nationals. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old was handed a rare 4-0 lead in his battle against Stephen Strasburg, but was unable to hold on. Hellickson was coming off five straight quality starts, but was largely done in by the long ball. He surrendered homers to Wilson Ramos, Stephen Drew and Danny Espinosa, along with a three-RBI night to Daniel Murphy. He otherwise kept the ball out of the air, inducing 12 ground balls overall. However, the right-hander also had some trouble with his control for the second straight start, as he issued a trio of free passes. Hellickson will try to rebound in his next trip to the mound, which comes against the Blue Jays next Wednesday.

Hellickson escaped with a no-decision in Saturday's matchup against the Brewers. He surrendered seven hits, three earned runs and three walks over five innings, while striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
After rattling off five straight quality starts, Hellickson was not quite as sharp Saturday. Staked to a 3-1 lead after two innings, the 29-year-old nevertheless was unable to preserve the lead. He issued multiple walks for the third start this season, and worked his shortest stint since May 7 versus the Marlins. He'll try to get back on the winning side of the ledger on Friday versus the Nationals.

Hellickson allowed one run on three hits with eight strikeouts over seven innings in a tough luck no-decision Monday against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson extended his quality start streak to four games and has a brilliant 28:3 K:BB ratio over that span. His changeup was particularly nasty Tuesday night, as he drew nine swinging strikes on just 21 offerings (42.9 percent). Hellickson has drawn at least 10 swinging strikes in seven of his 11 starts this season after drawing 14 Monday night. His recent hot streak has given him a solid 3.68 ERA to go with his nifty 65:14 K:BB in 63.2 innings.

Hellickson (4-3) went seven innings but allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk with seven strikeouts during Tuesday's loss against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson matched a season high in terms of innings pitched, but it wasn't enough to avoid the loss. The 29-year-old righty continues to post decent strikeout totals in 2016, and has already punched out 57 in 56.2 frames.

Hellickson (4-2) allowed two runs on five hits over six innings in a 4-2 victory over the Marlins on Wednesday afternoon. He also struck out four and walked one.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander was effective for the second straight outing, as he only needed 89 pitches (54 strikes) to get through six frames. Hellickson recorded 11 of his 18 outs via ground balls. This marked the third time in the last four starts that he induced at least 10 ground balls. That's helped him post a 3.99 ERA and 1.25 WHIP. His next start will be Tuesday against the Tigers.

Hellickson allowed two runs (both unearned) on four hits, walking one and striking out nine over seven innings of a 3-2 victory over the Reds on Friday night.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson (3-2) was quite effective, needing just 93 pitches (64 for strikes) to cover the seven innings before turning it over to the bullpen. He has generally outperformed expectations with the exception of a couple of awful outings for the surprising Phillies, compiling a 4.12 ERA, a 1.28 WHIP, and logging 46 strikeouts in 43.2 innings. He'll face Miami at home next time out.

Hellickson allowed three runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out four over 5.1 innings, but received no decision Saturday at the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson left the game with a two-run deficit, but the offense came up big in the eighth inning to take him off the hook for a potential loss. He's now failed to post a quality start in five of his last six outings, and his ERA is at 4.91. He'll make his next start Friday against the Reds.

Hellickson (2-2) allowed six runs on seven hits and four walks with five strikeouts over 5.1 innings in Monday's loss to St. Louis.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson got touched up for three home runs, the worst a three-run dinger by his counterpart Adam Wainwright. He has now served up seven home runs in six starts for a horrific 2.0 HR/9, and he has allowed at least 20 home runs four times. This has been the Achilles heel for Hellickson his whole career -- he hasn't posted a single HR/9 below 1.00 in his seven-year career. Hellickson is still drawing swings and misses, and his 33:10 K:BB in 31.1 innings is stellar, but it won't matter if he can't keep the ball in the yard.

Hellickson (2-1) tossed seven shutout innings and allowed just two hits in Wednesday's victory over the Nationals. He also struck out eight and walked three.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old had a couple rough starts in a row but rebounded to allow just two hits, the fewest he's yielded in a start since August of 2014. Hellickson has never been a huge strikeout guy, but through five starts this season, he has 28 punchouts in 26 frames. He is scheduled to make his next start Monday against the Cardinals.

Hellickson (1-1) lasted just 4.1 innings and did not factor in the decision against the Mets on Wednesday. He allowed four runs on ten hits while walking one and striking out six.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson has now failed to make it through five innings in consecutive starts. His first season with the Phillies is off to a confusing start. Despite having a 20:3 K:BB, the right-hander also holds an ugly 5.21 ERA through his first 19 innings. It won't get any easier in his next start against the Nationals. The team from D.C. smashed Hellickson last season, lighting him up for eight runs, two homers and eight walks in 10.1 innings over two starts.
