EDGE Analysis
The Monday start was a return to form for Hellickson, who had allowed four or more runs in three straight games. The veteran righty has a 3.76 ERA in 172.1 innings -- his best ERA since the 2012 season. Hellickson makes his next start Saturday against the Marlins.

Hellickson (10-9) took the loss in Wednesday's 6-0 defeat in Miami, surrendering four runs (three earned) on nine hits while not issuing a walk and striking out one over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Facing a Marlins team possessing one of the lowest strikeout rates in the league (19.8 percent), the lack of punch outs were expected, but the 29-year old hurler appears to be wearing down, as this makes three straight outings where he's allowed at least four runs. Hellickson's name was being thrown around in late August as a potential trade candidate, but over the past month we are likely seeing why his name is still stitched on the back of the same jersey.

Hellickson allowed four runs on five hits over six innings Friday against the Braves. He struck out six and walked three.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson held the Braves scoreless until the fifth inning when he allowed a run before giving up a three-run bomb to Matt Kemp to tie the game at four. Hellickson has struggled a bit with his command in his last two starts, having walked six in 10 innings. He'll try to bounce back in his next start against the Marlins in Miami.

EDGE Analysis
If Wednesday's workout goes well, Hellickson will be set to return to the mound for the first time since August 10. Hellickson has been fantastic in his six starts since the All-Star break, posting a 2.89 ERA and 0.96 WHIP over that time.

Hellickson (back) is tentatively scheduled to make his next start Saturday, Matt Breen of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Phillies have two off days this week which will allow them to shuffle their rotation and give Hellickson nine days between starts. The team wants to give him extra rest after he left his last start with tightness in his back.
