Hellickson said he was still feeling some soreness in his back Friday, but thinks he will likely make his scheduled start Wednesday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson left his last start with tightness in his back. He was scheduled to see a team doctor Friday night for a checkup. The Phillies would likely recall David Buchanan from Triple-A if Hellickson is unable to go Wednesday.

Hellickson (back) expects to make his next scheduled start, Matt Gelb of the Philly Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson indicated that his back is "a little sore", but he expects to make his next start. He left Wednesday's tilt with the Dodgers after 71 pitches due to back tightness. He is scheduled to take the mound again Tuesday in a rematch with the Dodgers.

Hellickson left Wednesday's start against the Dodgers after 71 pitches due to back tightness, The News Journal's Meghan Montemurro reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Phillies' rotation can't seem to catch a break, as Aaron Nola (elbow) and Zach Eflin (knees) are already doubtful to return this season. Hellickson appeared to be clutching his side/back as he exited, so it would not be surprising if he has to miss his next scheduled start on Aug. 17. He allowed one earned run on three hits and a walk while striking out seven over five innings, but was in line for the loss when he exited.

Hellickson picked up his ninth win of the season Friday in a 5-4 victory over the Padres. He allowed three runs on six hits over 6.2 innings while striking out three and walking two.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson struggled a bit with his command in the early innings, but said he was able to start throwing his curveball for strikes which helped him settle in. He is scheduled to face the Dodgers in Los Angeles in his next start.

Hellickson (hand) is listed as the starter for Friday's game against Christian Friedrich and the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson left his last start due to soreness and bruising on the palm of his right hand. It looked like he would be making this start for another club, but the Phillies did not find a trade offer they liked before Monday's deadline. It is unlikely Hellickson will be moved in a waiver deal this month, so he will finish out the season with the Phillies before heading into free agency this winter.

Hellickson (hand) plans to take a break from throwing for a couple days but insists he feels fine, MLB.com's Todd Zolecki reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson has been a name mentioned in many trade conversations, but it doesn't sound like this ailment will be a major hindrance to the right-hander getting moved prior to Monday's deadline. The issue may make certain grips tough in the short term, but Hellickson remains confident the issue will resolve itself with rest. If he's not dealt, Hellickson is currently scheduled to take the mound Friday in San Diego.

Hellickson left Saturday's start because of soreness and bruising on the palm of his right hand, Jim Salisbury of CSN Philadelphia reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson injured the hand when he was hitting and got jammed while fouling a ball off. The injury is not serious, but Hellickson said it made it a little tough to grip his curveball. It also doesn't seem like the injury should create any roadblocks to a potential trade by Monday's deadline. The Orioles, Pirates, Blue Jays, Cardinals, Dodgers and Tigers are among the teams that have been scouting Hellickson of late. If he is dealt, Jake Thompson will likely be promoted from Triple-A to take Hellickson's rotation spot.

Hellickson (8-7) earned the win in Saturday night's 9-5 win over the Braves, allowing three runs on nine hits while striking out two. He also collected two RBI.
EDGE Analysis
With trade rumors following him into Saturday night's road start, Hellickson, who is now 2-0 with a 1.88 ERA over his past three starts, managed to outlast opposing starter Julio Teheran in a battle between the two worst teams in the NL East. While it wasn't the strongest audition in his last start before the Monday trade deadline, it will likely be good enough to turn into an advantageous one for the 29-year-old as teams look to add a cheap rental down the stretch.

Hellickson was saddled with a no-decision on Monday, despite shutting out the Marlins over six innings, allowing one hit, walking one, and striking out one.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson has been fantastic this month, allowing a total of seven earned runs in five starts. The one strikeout was his lowest number of the year, but he clearly didn't need the strikeouts on Monday. The righty now owns a 3.65 ERA and minuscule 1.12 WHIP. He'll make his next start Saturday against the Braves.

The Phillies have been scouting the Marlins' Gulf Coast League squad in preparation for a possible Hellickson trade, Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Marlins were among the suitors for Hellickson even before losing Wei-Yin Chen to the disabled list with a sprained left elbow. The Marlins' farm system is pretty weak, so it makes sense that the Phils would be scouting the low minors looking for high upside talent. The Orioles, Pirates and Giants are also rumored to have interest in Hellickson.
