Jeremy Guthrie allowed two runs on three hits and two walks in seven innings on Wednesday, striking out 10 as he improved to 8-17 in Baltimore's 6-2 win over the Rays. Guthrie's first double digit strikeout effort of the season was also his first since May 30, 2009. He had not tallied a win in six starts. The seven innings of work move him past 190 on the year, a total he has now surpassed in four consecutive seasons. The owner of a 4.22 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 125/63 K/BB ratio, Guthrie will get the Red Sox in Boston his next time out.

Jeremy Guthrie allowed just three hits in seven scoreless innings on Friday, improving to 7-17 in Baltimore's 2-0 win over the Blue Jays. Guthrie struck out five and walked three in an effort that might have blown his chance at reaching 20 losses. The quality outing was his third in four starts. He'll take a 4.29 ERA and 1.34 WHIP into his Wednesday start against the Rays at home.

Jeremy Guthrie scattered five hits and one run across seven innings of work on Wednesday, improving to 6-16 in Baltimore's 6-1 win over the Twins. He struck out five and walked two in his first win in five August outings. The owner of a 4.96 ERA in 52 2/3 innings since the All-Star break, Baltimore's 32-year-old righty will get the Yankees at home his next time out. That's likely a start you'll want to keep him benched for.

Jeremy Guthrie (shoulder) will start on Wednesday. His start was pushed back because he was dealing with a bout of minor shoulder stiffness. Alredo Simon is likely to get the call on Tuesday for Baltimore. Guthrie has struggled mightily lately, allowing 16 earned runs over his last four starts. He shouldn't be active in any format until he can prove that he has turned things around.

Jeremy Guthrie (shoulder) plans on throwing a bullpen session on Sunday. That means his next start will likely be on Tuesday or Wednesday and he'll avoid a trip to the disabled list. Guthrie has really struggled lately, allowing 16 earned runs over his last four starts. Add to that his bout of minor shoulder stiffness and you shouldn't have him in your fantasy lineup in AL-only leagues this week.

Jeremy Guthrie's (shoulder) next start will be pushed back to Tuesday or Wednesday. The O's had left open the possibility that Guthrie could take the ball Sunday, but it appears they'll give him at least a few extra days due to his stiff right shoulder. The team doesn't seem to think Guthrie will need a trip to the disabled list, but if he doesn't feel better over the next few days, that might become a possibility.

Jeremy Guthrie won't pitch Saturday against the Angels due to shoulder stiffness. Guthrie could pitch again as soon as Sunday, but there's nothing official yet. Tommy Hunter will presumably move up a day to start Saturday's game.

Orioles manager Buck Showalter said Wednesday that Jeremy Guthrie may have his next start pushed back a day or two due to minor shoulder stiffness. As of now, Jo-Jo Reyes, Guthrie and Tommy Hunter are scheduled to pitch this weekend against the Angels. Guthrie has really struggled lately, allowing 16 earned runs over his last four starts, so he shouldn't be on your fantasy radar, anyway.
