Jeremy Guthrie allowed six runs on eight hits and three walks in seven innings of work on Wednesday, falling to 5-15 in Baltimore's loss to the Royals. Guthrie was in line for his fourth straight quality start before he served up a three-run homer to Billy Butler with one out in the seventh inning. Now the owner of a 4.34 ERA and 1.34 WHIP, he'll get the White Sox at home next Monday.

Jeremy Guthrie tossed seven innings of one-run ball in a 4-2 win over the Yankees on Friday night. Well, this can only enhance his trade value. Guthrie limited the Yankees to just four hits while striking out five and walking three. The only run scored on a solo homer by Mark Teixeira in the bottom of the sixth inning. Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun reports that the Cardinals, Tigers, Brewers and Rangers were among some of the teams who had scouts present for Friday's start. The Orioles haven't been impressed by offers thus far, but a lot can change before Sunday's deadline.

Jeremy Guthrie allowed three runs on six hits and four walks in seven innings of work on Sunday, but watched his bullpen meltdown in Baltimore's 9-3 loss to the Angels. The Orioles bullpen had a disastrous day, but Guthrie did take the loss, falling to 4-14. He notched just one strikeout in what very well may have been his final start in an Orioles uniform. He's struggled in July after posting a 5.79 ERA in June, going 1-4 with a 5.50 ERA and 19/17 K/BB ratio.

FOX Sports' Jon Paul Morosi and Ken Rosenthal report that the Cardinals are interested in Orioles righty Jeremy Guthrie. The Cards are interested in adding a starter and moving Kyle McClellan back to the bullpen and have also been connected to Edwin Jackson in a potential deal involving Colby Rasmus. Guthrie has posted a 4.35 ERA and 1.34 WHIP in 20 starts this season for the O's and would likely thrive in a move from the AL East to NL Central. The Tigers are also pursuing him.

According to FOX Sports' Jon Paul Morosi, the Tigers have been scouting right-hander Jeremy Guthrie. The Detroit front office has also expressed interest in Rockies ace Ubaldo Jimenez and Dodgers veteran Hiroki Kuroda, but Guthrie represents a decent consolation prize. The 32-year-old right-hander has registered a 4.35 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 84/37 K/BB ratio in 22 total appearances (20 starts) this season for last-place Baltimore.

Jeremy Guthrie gave up two runs on eight hits over seven innings in a 3-2 win over the Red Sox Tuesday. He struck out four and walked one. The only damage he sustained was a two-run homer by Jarrod Saltalamacchia in the fifth inning. Guthrie's name has been bandied about in trade rumors over the last few weeks and he's turned in the type of season to warrant the interest. He's only 4-13 despite a 4.35 ERA and 1.34 WHIP. A change of address would certainly improve his fantasy outlook.

The Tigers have interest in Baltimore right-hander Jeremy Guthrie, according to Jon Morosi of FoxSports.com. Detroit prefers Ubaldo Jimenez and Hiroki Kuroda, but Guthrie makes for a nice backup plan. Though he didn't pitch well Thursday and has been up-and-down the last few weeks, Guthrie probably represents the O's best trade chip and there would surely be multiple interested parties if he's made available. Guthrie is 3-13 with a 4.45 ERA and is earning $5.75 million this season. He's eligible for arbitration next year and will then be a free agent.

Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports that the Rangers had a scout in attendance for Jeremy Guthrie's start Thursday. Zrebiec is quick to point out that he's not sure if the Rangers are interested in Guthrie, but they are reportedly interested in adding starter and relief help. Jeremy Guthrie was knocked around by the Indians Thursday, surrendering six runs on five hits and four walks over five innings of work. That won't help his trade value. Guthrie dug himself into a hole early by serving up a pair of longballs - one to Asdrubal Cabrera and one to Carlos Santana - in the first inning and he was unable to recover. It's the second straight start that he's given up six runs, and he's allowed a total of 24 over his last five outings, posting a 7.45 ERA over that span. He's now won just once since late May and sports a 3-13 record for the year. Guthrie will try to bounce back next week against the Red Sox.

He pitched in relief of starter Mitch Atkins on Sunday, allowing one run on three hits and two walks in 3 1/3 innings of Baltimore's 8-6 loss in Boston. Guthrie entered the All-Star break with a 4.18 ERA and 1.33 WHIP.
