Jason Hammel held the Yankees to one run over five innings in Sunday's 2-1 victory.
Hammel struck out four while permitting six hits and two walks. Though he was able to limit the damage, he was forced to exit the game early after having to throw 102 pitches to cover the five frames. Hammel has just one quality start in his last five tries and will take a 5.03 ERA and 1.41 WHIP into his final start of the first half, which will come at home against the Blue Jays.

Jason Hammel allowed five runs over seven innings in a loss to the White Sox on Tuesday.
Hammel surrendered nine hits and a walk while striking out seven. The right-hander still hasn't won a game since May 27 despite being 7-5 overall. He owns a 5.19 ERA and 1.40 WHIP through 17 starts. He'll continue to search for his eighth win Sunday when he takes on the Yankees in the Bronx.

Jason Hammel allowed two runs over seven innings in a no-decision against the Indians on Wednesday.
Hammel wasn't in line for the win even before Jim Johnson's blown save, but the right-hander turned in his best start in a month by limiting the Indians to just four hits and two walks in his seven innings. He also struck out five. He'll likely end the month of June without a victory, as his next start is slated for Tuesday in Chicago against the White Sox.

In his first start since June 12, Jason Hammel yielded four runs in six innings in a no-decision against the Blue Jays.
Back to full health after a recent illness, Hammel held the Jays to just four hits, but two of them were home runs. He struck out seven and walked one. While he left in line for the victory, Tommy Hunter coughed up the lead in the seventh inning. It was nice to see Hammel miss some more bats, but he'll need to show more consistency before earning his way back into relevancy in mixed leagues. He'll face the Indians next week at Camden Yards.

Jason Hammel (illness) will start Friday against the Blue Jays.
Hammel was scratched from Monday's scheduled start due to illness, but he was cleared to return after making it through a throwing session Thursday. The 30-year-old has a disappointing 5.24 ERA over 14 starts this season and is a shaky play in mixed leagues against the red-hot Blue Jays.

Orioles manager Buck Showalter said that Jason Hammel (illness) is unlikely to start Tuesday against the Tigers.
Hammel was scratched from his start on Monday due to a stomach virus and is still getting his strength back. While Jake Arrieta is filling in on Monday, the Orioles could call up Zach Britton to start on Tuesday.

Jason Hammel (illness) is unlikely to be ready to make his scheduled start on Monday against the Tigers.
Hammel has rejoined the club after being away for two days due to a stomach virus, but he's apparently not feeling well enough to start. The Orioles scratched Zach Britton from his scheduled start Sunday at Triple-A Norfolk and seem likely to give him the ball Monday in Hammel's place.

Jason Hammel surrendered four runs in six-plus innings Wednesday in a no-decision against the Angels.
Hammel entered the top of the seventh with a 4-2 lead, then gave up a single and a walk and was replaced. Both runners came around to score off Pedro Strop, and the Angels ended up scoring six times in the frame. Perhaps Hammel deserved better, but he's living dangerously of late. He fanned just one batter today, and he has a 4/7 K/BB ratio in his last three starts.

Jason Hammel yielded two runs in 6 2/3 innings in a loss to the Rays on Friday.
It was his first loss on the road this year. Hammel kept the Rays off the board until he gave up a two-run homer to Desmond Jennings in the seventh inning. It was enough to put him in line for the loss. Hammel fanned three in the loss and owns a 5.18 ERA through 13 starts this season. He'll face the Angels next.
