Junis (5-5) allowed three runs on six hits and one walk across 7.1 innings while taking the loss against the A's on Sunday. He struck out nine.
EDGE Analysis
Junis cruised through the first seven innings, allowing just one run while scattering baserunners. Things got away from him just a bit in the eighth, when he allowed a run prior to his removal and watched as the bullpen allowed another one of his men to cross. He still threw the ball quite well, setting a new season high in strikeouts while inducing 17 swinging strikes. Junis has now posted back-to-back quality starts and will take a solid 3.62 ERA into his next start against this same Oakland team.

Junis (5-4) allowed three runs on six hits and four walks across six innings while taking the loss Monday against the Twins. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Junis worked around trouble all day, taking a shutout into the fifth inning before surrendering a two-run home run to Miguel Sano. He stayed in the game for the sixth, but allowed another run on an RBI single from Brian Dozier before his day came to a close. While it wasn't pretty, this was Junis' first quality start over the last four and he's now tallied at least seven strikeouts in four of his last five. He'll take a 3.61 ERA into his next scheduled start Sunday against the Athletics.

Junis allowed two runs on five hits and a walk while striking out seven over five innings in Wednesday's win over the Cardinals. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
It's the third straight start in which Junis wasn't able to make it through six innings, but he likely could've gone deeper in this one as his pitch count sat at just 81. The seven strikeouts were one shy of matching his season-high, as the 25-year-old has had reliable command thus far with 55:13 K:BB over 61.1 innings. He'll sport an impressive 3.52 ERA and 1.09 WHIP when he takes the hill Monday against the Twins.

Junis (4-2) allowed two earned runs on eight hits while walking one and striking out eight across seven innings to earn the win Sunday against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Junis put together a solid outing, rarely getting in serious trouble despite allowing nine baserunners. He has now pitched at least seven innings in four of his seven starts, helping him rack up a decent number of strikeouts despite not being a prolific strikeout pitcher. However, he'll need to correct his home run problem -- he has surrendered 1.99 HR/9 -- in order to keep his ERA low, which is currently propped up by a 94 percent strand rate.

Junis (3-2) allowed two runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out five over six innings in Tuesday's win over the Red Sox. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
All things considered, Junis performed admirably Tuesday when faced with the daunting task of taking on the Red Sox at Fenway Park. He allowed seven hits on the night, with three of those coming in his final inning of work. Junis surrendered a solo homer to Mitch Moreland followed by a double to Rafael Devers and a run-scoring single to Jackie Bradley Jr. in the sixth inning. He exited after that frame with his season ERA sitting at a solid 3.29 figure. It was an encouraging bounceback performance after his six-run implosion against the White Sox last week. He'll take on the Tigers in his next start.

Junis (3-1) recorded the win in the second game of Friday's doubleheader against the Tigers, allowing two runs on four hits and a walk over eight innings while striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander seemed headed for a loss, but the Royals rallied to score twice in the top of the ninth inning to avoid a sweep in the doubleheader. As per usual, Junis pounded the strike zone by throwing 72 of 106 pitches for strikes, and he'll take a 2.03 ERA into his next outing Thursday at home against the White Sox.

Junis will start the second game of Friday's doubleheader against the Tigers, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Royals have elected to flip their two starters, with Junis throwing in the second game and Jason Hammel throwing in the first. Through his first three starts, Junis has a 1.93 ERA, though his 4.63 FIP indicates that he's getting rather lucky.

Junis is lined up to start Game 1 of Friday's doubleheader with the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Michael Fulmer is scheduled to start the matinee for Detroit, while Jason Hammel and Daniel Norris are on track to start the nightcap. Junis was touched up for four runs on seven hits -- including three homers -- over 4.2 innings despite recording a season-high seven strikeouts in his last start against the Angels on Saturday.

Junis (2-1) allowed four earned runs on seven hits while walking one and striking out seven to take the loss Saturday against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Junis was one was one of the hottest pitchers entering Saturday's game but was outdone by and Angels lineup that was been swinging hot bats. He gave up three home runs in three consecutive innings, accounting for all of the earned runs he allowed. On the positive side of things, Junis remained deceptive in the strike zone, generating 11 swinging strikes and seven strikeouts. He should remain a popular addition to fantasy rosters despite this poor start.

Junis (2-0) tossed seven scoreless innings while earning the win Monday against the Mariners, allowing one hit and two walks with three strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
Junis carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning in this one, seeing it tarnished by a one-out infield hit. He was allowed to close out the frame, which he did to extend his scoreless streak to 14 innings to start the season. Junis has been outstanding in the early going and will look to keep it going this weekend against the Angels.
