This won't be an immediate resumption of closing duties, nor a complete one given how well Brad Boxberger has performed as Tampa Bay's full-time closer. A co-closer system based on matchups is probably a good move for the Rays, but it will unfortunately limit the fantasy viability for either closer.

His role with Tampa Bay is not immediately clear, as Brad Boxberger appears to be fitting in comfortably as the closer. As a result, McGee could be headed for a set-up role. In a corresponding move, the Rays optioned Matt Andriese to Triple-A Durham to free up a spot on the 25-man roster.
