Lamb went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a 4-2 win over the Twins on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Lamb slammed his first homer of the season in the third inning off Michael Pineda. This was only his fourth hit of the season as well. The 30-year-old hasn't played much this year, but he will get more opportunities for the White Sox while they deal with multiple injuries. Lamb is slashing .167/.355/.292 in 31 plate appearances.

Lamb started in left field and went 1-for-2 with a run scored in 3-2 victory over Boston in the first game of Sunday's doubleheader.
EDGE Analysis
Add Lamb's name to the cast of characters that have filled in for Eloy Jimenez (pectoral) in left field. He joins Leury Garcia, Billy Hamilton (hamstring), Andrew Vaughn and Nick Williams. This was the corner infielder's first ever game in left field in the majors or minors. With Adam Engel (hamstring) projected out until late April, Lamb could see more at-bats as part of the rotation.

Lamb started at third base and went 0-for-2 with three walks and a run scored in Wednesday's 8-4 loss to Seattle.
EDGE Analysis
Lamb gave primary third baseman Yoan Moncada a breather Wednesday. This was Lamb's first regular-season appearance in a White Sox uniform after being signed by the club late in spring training.

Lamb officially signed a major-league contract with the White Sox on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Lamb's agreement with Chicago was reported Monday, though it wasn't clear whether he was joining on a major-league or minor-league deal. His big-league contract presumably means he'll be part of the Opening Day roster, serving as a backup option at both corner-infield spots and potentially getting some starts as the designated hitter. His performances at the plate over the past three seasons would look very out of place at that spot, however, as he hasn't reached a wRC+ of 80 in any of those years, hitting a combined .205/.309/.351. Unless he suddenly rediscovers his early-career form, it's hard to see him earning regular at-bats. Nik Turley was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

Lamb agreed to a contract Monday with the White Sox, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The deal will become official once Lamb clears waivers following his release from Atlanta over the weekend. Murray doesn't specify whether Lamb's deal is a major-league or minor-league deal, but the 30-year-old presumably won't have to wait long to join the big club regardless of the terms of his contract. With the White Sox entertaining the idea of using rookie Andrew Vaughn in left field with Eloy Jimenez (pectoral) expected to miss most of the season, Lamb could factor into the mix at designated hitter for Chicago.

Lamb was released by Atlanta on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Lamb was in camp competing for a bench spot. Despite signing a major-league deal, he'll lose out to non-roster invitee Pablo Sandoval, whose contract was selected in a corresponding move Saturday. He'll look elsewhere for work but may have a tough time finding a major-league deal, as he's a corner infielder who's produced a wRC+ below 80 for three straight seasons.

Lamb (general soreness) is starting at third base and batting third in Friday's Cactus League game against the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old was scratched from Wednesday's contest with general soreness, but he'll make a quick return to Cactus League action. Lamb is on track to open the season in a bench role for the Braves, though he's struggled at the plate in spring training.

Atlanta manager Brian Snitker said Lamb was scratched from the lineup for Wednesday's Grapefruit League game against the Pirates due to general soreness, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Snitker downplayed Lamb's injury and said the 30-year-old will likely be back in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rays. Johan Camargo will fill for Lamb on Wednesday, playing third base and batting cleanup.

Lamb was scratched from Atlanta's lineup ahead of Wednesday's Grapefruit League game against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
Atlanta has yet to provide an explanation for Lamb's removal from the lineup, but Johan Camargo will replace him as the team's third baseman and cleanup hitter. Lamb is battling for a spot on Atlanta's Opening Day roster as a backup corner infielder.

Lamb has struggled this spring, going 4-for-28 (.143) with a double and a 3:9 BB:K, and he may not break camp with a spot on the Opening Day roster, Gabriel Burns of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
When he signed in February, Lamb was expected to be the team's primary left-handed power source off the bench, but Atlanta has other options for that role including Jason Kipnis (.238/.273/.429 with one homer and a 1:6 BB:K through 21 at-bats). Neither player has particularly impressed however, and the fact that Lamb is already on the 40-man roster could end up making the difference if neither veteran steps up over the final week of exhibition play.
