Lamb was reassigned to minor-league spring training Sunday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lamb made a strong case for a roster spot this spring by slashing .333/.379/.667 with two homers, three triples, five runs, two RBI and a walk across 12 Cactus League games. He'll report to Triple-A Oklahoma City to begin the year but should be in the mix to join the major-league club to provide additional depth at some point.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Wednesday that Lamb is making a "great case" for an Opening Day roster spot, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lamb has been one of the team's best hitters in Cactus League play, slashing .375/.423/.750 with two home runs, three doubles and two RBI across 26 plate appearances. The 31-year-old hit 59 combined homers over the 2016 and 2017 seasons with Arizona but hasn't played in more than 78 major-league contests in any campaign since. If he does indeed break camp with Los Angeles, he'll likely serve as a power bat off the bench while drawing an occasional start at first base or DH.

Lamb joined the Dodgers as a non-roster invitee Monday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lamb hit .248/.345/.498 in 2016 and 2017, but he's been nowhere close to that level since then, struggling to a .203/.308/.355 line over the last four years. He hasn't posted a batting average above .200 since 2018. The 31-year-old did show a bit of pop last season, posting a career-best 11.6 percent barrel rate, but that also came with a career-worst 30.0 percent strikeout rate. It would be a surprise if he's able to carve out a significant role on a talented Dodgers roster.

The Blue Jays granted Lamb his release Wednesday after he cleared outright waivers.
EDGE Analysis
With all of Santiago Espinal, Cavan Biggio and Breyvic Valera returning from the injured list within the past week, the Blue Jays no longer had a need at third base for Lamb, who was designated for assignment Thursday. After going unclaimed off waivers, Lamb determined he was better off getting a head start on finding a new home in 2022 rather than sticking around as a member of the Toronto organization.

Lamb was designated for assignment Thursday by the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old will either report to Triple-A Buffalo or be released. He had struggled to a .129 batting average in September while only hitting three extra-base hits in 31 at-bats. The move clears space for the return of Breyvic Valera from the COVID-related injured list Thursday.

Lamb isn't starting Tuesday's game against the Rays.

Lamb went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts Monday, and he'll retreat to the bench for the third time in the last four games. Breyvic Valera will start at the hot corner and bat eighth.

Lamb is not starting Tuesday against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
He'll sit for the second night in a row despite Tampa Bay sending right-hander Drew Rasmussen to the mound. Breyvic Valera draws the start at third base and will bat eighth.

Lamb is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Though the Rays are deploying right-hander Collin McHugh as an opening pitcher Monday, southpaw Ryan Yarbrough is slated to cover the bulk of the innings in relief. As a result, the lefty-hitting Lamb will take a seat, opening up a start at third base for his short-side platoon mate, Breyvic Valera.

Lamb went 1-for-5 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Sunday's 22-7 win over Baltimore.
EDGE Analysis
Compared to some of his teammates, Lamb had a rather pedestrian Sunday, but he still made a contribution in the blowout win. He's up to seven homers, 18 RBI, 25 runs scored and three doubles across 157 plate appearances between the Blue Jays and the White Sox this year. The 30-year-old is still most likely to come off the bench as a depth option at the corner infield and corner outfield positions.

Lamb isn't starting the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Lamb was productive in Saturday's matinee, going 2-for-2 with a double, three RBI, a run and a walk. Breyvic Valera will take over at the hot corner and bat ninth.
