Marlins placed RHP Jacob Turner on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 4, with a right shoulder strain. It's not clear when Turner suffered the injury or how long he'll be sidelined. Marlins exercised RHP Jacob Turner's $1 million club option for the 2014 season. It was an easy call for the Miami front office. Turner, 22, has a 3.64 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 106/63 K/BB ratio in 160 2/3 innings since joining the Marlins via trade from the Tigers. He should have a bright future ahead.
