Kennedy struck out six and walked two while giving up two runs on four hits over six innings to earn his first win of the season Friday against the Rockies.
It was a nice rebound for Kennedy after he was roughed up by the Dodgers in his first stat back from the disabled list. The Padres' rebuilt offense provided plenty of run support for Kennedy and company Friday night, plating 14 runs against the Colorado staff. Kennedy will get a nice matchup on the road against the Giants on Wednesday in his next scheduled start.

Kennedy (hamstring) was reinstated from the 15-day DL on Saturday.
This is simply a bookkeeping move, as Kennedy has already been announced as the Padres' starter Saturday at home against the Dodgers. He has a 3.80 ERA in his last 12 starts (73.1 innings) against the Dodgers and a 3.57 ERA in 26 starts over the last three years at Petco Park.

Kennedy has been confirmed as the starter for Saturday's game against the Dodgers.
This was anticipated, but now we have confirmation from manager Bud Black. Kennedy's return will bump Odrisamer Despaigne from the rotation, and owners in leagues with daily moves should make sure to deploy Kennedy as he will return in the friendly confines of Petco Park.

Kennedy (hamstring) could be activated as soon as he's first eligible Saturday, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Kennedy has been on the disabled list since April 10 due to the hamstring issue, but he tossed six innings and 81 pitches in an extended spring training start Monday with no setbacks. While he appears to be ready for activation, there's no guarantees it will indeed occur Saturday until it's made official.

Kennedy (hamstring) will rejoin the Padres on Tuesday to be re-evaluated and could be activated off the 15-day DL on Saturday, Dennis Lin of the Union-Tribune reports.
Kennedy has progressed from bullpen sessions last week to a six inning appearance in an extended-spring training game Monday. He would likely reclaim his spot in the rotation from Odrisamer Despaigne, who has been filling in for Kennedy and is starting Monday's game against Colorado.

Kennedy (hamstring) threw 81 pitches across six innings in an extended-spring training start Monday, Dennis Lin of the Union-Tribune reports.
Kennedy was slated to throw between 75 and 90 pitches in his extended-spring start Monday and hit that mark. He is nearing a return to the Padres and the earliest date he could be activated from the DL would be Saturday against the Dodgers.

Kennedy (hamstring) threw a bullpen session Friday and will pitch in an extended Spring Training game Monday, Dennis Lin of the Union-Tribune reports.
Kennedy has now thrown two bullpen sessions since being placed on the 15-day DL on Apr. 10. He is slated to throw between 75 and 90 pitches in an extended Spring Training game early next week. The earliest Kennedy could return from the DL would be Apr. 25 against the Dodgers.

Kennedy (hamstring) has a bullpen session planned Wednesday and could pitch in a minor league game Monday, MLB.com's Corey Brock reports.
He will throw another bullpen session Friday in preparation for Monday's tentative minor league start with an unannounced affiliate. It is not yet clear if Kennedy will need more than one rehab start before rejoining the Padres' rotation, but a return in early-May seems like the most likely scenario at this point.

Kennedy (hamstring) will throw a bullpen session in the next two-to-three days, Corey Brock of MLB.com reports.
Kennedy was placed on the 15-day DL on Friday after a hamstring injury limited his 2015 debut to just 2.1 innings. It's a positive sign that Kennedy will start throwing bullpen sessions roughly one week after suffering the injury, but manager Bud Black indicated that he'll need a minor league rehab stint before returning to the Padres' rotation.

Kennedy (hamstring) will be placed on the 15-day DL on Friday, the Union-Tribune's Dennis Lin reports.
He left Thursday's game in the third inning with a left hamstring strain. Odrisamer Despaigne will slide into the rotation to replace Kennedy, and could be worth a look Tuesday at home against the Diamondbacks. If the injury proves to be minor, Kennedy could theoretically come off the DL Apr. 25 to take back his turn in the rotation against the Dodgers, but there's always the possibility he could need more time to get right. This move will give Despaigne at least two turns in the rotation, but his second scheduled outing will be in Coors Field, which is a situation fantasy owners may want to stay away from.
