Kennedy (hamstring) will be activated from the disabled list ahead of the second game of the Royals' doubleheader Sunday with the Twins, Joel Goldberg of FOX Sports Kansas City reports.

Kennedy was initially scheduled to return from the DL to start Saturday, but since that game ended up being postponed due to inclimate weather, he'll simply move back a day. The Royals will need to make a roster move after the first game of the doubleheader concludes in order to formally activate Kennedy. Chris Young will move back to a long-relief role with Kennedy returning to the rotation.
