Huston Street (lat) will be activated from the disabled list Tuesday.
This confirms earlier speculation. Street made his final rehab appearance with High-A Lake Elsinore on Sunday. Dale Thayer will move into a setup role once he returns.

Huston Street (lat) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Wednesday.
If all goes well, Street will begin a minor league rehab assignment with High-A Lake Elsinore on Friday. He'll likely need a handful of appearances before being cleared to return. Dale Thayer will continue to handle save chances for now.

According to MLB.com's Corey Brock, Huston Street (lat) could be sent on his minor league rehab assignment ''as soon as next week.''
Street, who's been on the disabled list since May 5, took another step forward in his rehabilitation Saturday, and has been able to increase both his throwing and distance. Street is expected to throw a bullpen session in the ''coming days,'' and could be cleared for rehab appearances shortly thereafter.

Huston Street (lat) played catch Wednesday for the fifth straight day.
"It's progressing nicely and I'm ready to start pushing it," Street said. Street will start long-tossing later this week and, according to Padres manager Bud Black, is "getting closer to the mound." The closer will need a couple rehab appearances before rejoining the team's bullpen.

Huston Street (lat) played catch prior to Tuesday's game and reported no discomfort.
"He feels good," Padres manager Bud Black said. "He went free and easy, no pain." Black said Street will throw a long-toss session soon, and a bullpen session will follow that. He's expected to make at least two rehab appearances before rejoining the Padres, so it sounds like we won't see him until June.

Huston Street (lat) is expected to start throwing soon.
Street landed on the disabled list earlier this month with a right lat strain. There's no clear timetable for his return. Dale Thayer will continue to hold down the closer role for now.

Padres placed RHP Huston Street on the 15-day disabled list with a right lat strain.
The good news is that an MRI revealed that the injury is just a strain and not something more serious that would require surgery. Andrew Cashner is the most likely candidate to fill in as the Padres' closer in Street's absence, and should be picked up immediately in all formats.

Updating an earlier item, Huston Street has been diagnosed with a right lat injury.
Street will get an MRI on Saturday but told reporters he doesn't think it's "anything major." While a stint on the disabled list is still the most likely outcome, it appears he'll avoid a more significant injury. Andrew Cashner will be moved into the closer's role in the short-term and should be owned in fantasy leagues.

Huston Street was diagnosed with a right posterior shoulder strain after leaving Friday's game in the ninth inning.
A DL trip seems like a given for Street. Our best guess is that he's put on target for an early June return, assuming that the MRI he's sure to undergo shows up nothing more severe than the strain. Andrew Cashner is probably the favorite for saves in San Diego at the moment, though Luke Gregerson could factor in if the youngster struggles.

Huston Street came out of Friday's game in the ninth inning with an undisclosed injury.
Jim Bowden likely still thinks the Red Sox should give up a couple of top prospects for him. Street waved in the trainer after walking Logan Morrison in a tie game tonight against the Marlins. It's likely an arm problem, so those with a roster spot open might want to grab Andrew Cashner as a saves candidate.
