With an already depleted bullpen, manager Robin Ventura tried to leave Paulino in there to take his medicine and eat some innings, but he simply couldn't get hitters out. With an 11.29 ERA and 2.56 WHIP through his first 18 1/3, it'd be shocking if he wasn't demoted to the bullpen after this debacle.

White Sox manager Robin Ventura said Saturday that Felipe Paulino is still in the team's rotation "as of right now." "As of right now we'll continue to go," Ventura said. "We have guys in the bullpen . you can't have guys coming in the fifth inning. It's just not a recipe that's going to make guys last, so it has to be better." The White Sox have some options at Triple-A Charlotte in Tommy Hanson, Dylan Axelrod, Eric Surkamp, Andre Rienzo and Charlie Leesman if they ultimately wind up demoting Paulino.
