Felipe Paulino (groin) threw a successful bullpen session Sunday at St. Louis' Busch Stadium. Paulino is scheduled to rejoin the Royals' starting rotation on June 25 for the start of a three-game series against the Rays. He was rocking a stellar 1.67 ERA and 39/15 K/BB ratio in 37 2/3 innings before suffering a strained right groin in early-June and should be added back to fantasy lineups as soon as he's made active.

Royals placed RHP Felipe Paulino on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to June 7, with a strained right groin. Paulino considered pitching through the injury and is likely to return when first eligible. The Royals recalled Nate Adcock to replace him on the active roster. Adcock has been recalled four times this season.

The Royals expect to know by this weekend whether Felipe Paulino (groin) will require a trip to the disabled list. Paulino left Wednesday's game with a right groin strain. "He's a pretty quick healer," general manager Dayton Moore said, "But we'll see." The Royals would prefer not to DL the right-hander unless it's certain that he'll miss at least three starts.

Updating an earlier item, Felipe Paulino left Wednesday's start after suffering a strained right groin. As it turns out, Paulino wasn't hurt when hit when he was caught with a Ben Revere liner but rather on a pitch he delivered to Justin Morneau. It's not clear at this point how severe the ailment is, but we'll update his status when more is known. Luis Mendoza replaced Paulino on the mound.

Felipe Paulino left Wednesday's start with an apparent leg injury. We assume Paulino was hurt when he was hit by a Ben Revere liner. He allowed a single in just 2/3 of an inning before exiting, with the runner eventually coming around to score. We'll update his status when more is known. Luis Mendoza replaced him on the mound.

Felipe Paulino gave up three earned runs over 5 2/3 innings as part of a no-decision in Baltimore Saturday. Paulino wasn't sharp. He walked five, gave up two homers and was forced to throw 109 pitches. It's a concern as control issues have capped the 28-year-old's reliability through the year. On the bright side, he does have 34 strikeouts in 31 innings on the season and gets the A's next.

Felipe Paulino was superb Monday, shutting the Yankees out on six hits and two walks while striking out eight over 6 2/3 innings in the 6-0 win. Paulino has now tossed 12 2/3 scoreless innings in two starts against the Yankees this season and spun seven scoreless frames against the Orioles the last time out. We're not convinced he'll keep it up over the long haul, but Paulino can be nasty when he's on and should remain in lineups with a 1.42 ERA over his first four starts. He'll get the Orioles this weekend.

Felipe Paulino struggled against the White Sox on Friday, allowing four runs on seven hits over 5 2/3 innings of work. He did manage to strike out six and walked only one in the game. It was a far cry from his season debut against the Yankees, but was still good to see the maintained improvement in his control. With his dominating stuff, he's well worthy of a flyer in most mixed leagues. He'll try to find some consistency and get back in the win column when he takes on the Orioles on Wednesday.

Felipe Paulino returned from the disabled list on Saturday night and promptly dominated the Yankees, allowing just four hits over six shutout innings. Paulino showed off his tantalizing stuff and potential, fanning six and walking just two in the game. He's always had tremendous upside, but his problem has been consistent control. He'll try to carry over the momentum from this strong start when he takes on the White Sox in Chicago next week. The 28-year-old right-hander is worth a flier in most fantasy leagues.

Royals activated RHP Felipe Paulino from the 15-day disabled list. Paulino had been sidelined since the end of spring training with a strained right forearm, but will make his first start of the season against the Yankees. The Royals optioned reliever Louis Coleman to Triple-A Omaha in a corresponding move.
