Edwin Jackson allowed two runs on eight hits in seven innings on Sunday, taking a no-decision in St. Louis' 10-inning loss to the Reds. He struck out eight and walked two in his fourth consecutive quality start. Since arriving in St. Louis on July 27, Jackson has gone 4-2 with a 3.44 ERA and 35/24 K/BB ratio in 52 1/3 innings.

Edwin Jackson allowed one run on six hits in seven innings on Tuesday, improving to 11-9 in St. Louis' 2-1 win over the Brewers in Milwaukee. He struck out three while issuing zero free passes. Tonight was just the second walk-free outing for Jackson in 26 starts this season. The owner of a 3.83 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 124/51 K/BB ratio through 167 innings, he'll get the Reds at home this Sunday.

Fox Sports' Jon Paul Morosi reports Edwin Jackson was claimed on waivers earlier this month, but pulled back by the Cardinals. Since arriving in St. Louis from Chicago (via Toronto) in late July, Jackson has gone 3-2 with a 3.99 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 24/12 K/BB ratio across 38 1/3 innings of work. A free agent at season's end, the Cardinals could make a push to re-sign Jackson in an effort to save some face on their much-maligned trade of center fielder Colby Rasmus.

Edwin Jackson had another solid outing for the Cardinals Thursday, giving up four runs - one earned - on six hits and three walks over six innings in an 8-4 win over the Pirates. A David Freese error paved the way for three unearned Pirates runs in the third, but Jackson was otherwise in control. He lowered his ERA with the Cardinals to 3.99, and if you take away the beating he took by the Brewers earlier this month, Jackson holds a 2.59 ERA in his other five outings. In other words, he's pretty much given them what they hoped for when they acquired him at the deadline. He'll try to fare better against the Brew Crew next week in Milwaukee.

Edwin Jackson yielded three runs over seven innings in Saturday's loss to the Cubs. All three runs scored in the fourth inning. Jackson allowed five hits (including a two-run homer to Aramis Ramirez) and walked one while striking out five. He now has a 4.45 ERA and 21/9 K/BB ratio over his first five starts with the Cardinals. He'll get the Pirates next week.

Edwin Jackson did not need treatment for his right hamstring cramp following Sunday's game. In other words, it's a very minor issue. Jackson, now 2-1 with a 4.62 ERA for the Cardinals, told reporters Sunday night that he fully expects to make his next scheduled start. He'll take on the Cubs at Wrigley Field at the end of this week.

Edwin Jackson left Sunday's start in the sixth inning with an apparent right hamstring injury. Jackson clutched his hamstring on the follow through while facing Ty Wigginton. For now, consider him day-to-day. Stay tuned for news of his prognosis.

Edwin Jackson was left in to give up 10 runs -- eight earned -- and 14 hits in seven innings Wednesday in a loss to the Brewers. Because seven runs in five innings and nine runs in six wasn't enough, apparently. The Cards did play 11 innings last night, but this was pretty extreme treatment from Tony La Russa in the name of saving the bullpen. Jackson, who hadn't allowed more than one homer in any of his 20 starts this season, gave up four today.

Edwin Jackson was victorious in his Cardinals' debut Friday night, tossing seven innings of one-run ball in a 9-2 win over the Cubs. We have a feeling he's going to like it here. Jackson scattered seven hits -- six of them singles -- while striking out four, walking a pair and hitting a batter. He has been a solid pitcher for a couple of months now, so go ahead and pick him up in mixed leagues now that he's pitching in the easier league.
