Gregorious is not in the lineup for Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Orioles, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gregorious could just be avoiding two starts in one day, as the Yankees clinched the playoffs and are sitting several starters for Game 1. Brendan Ryan will take over shortstop in the meantime, batting ninth.

Gregorius went 3-for-5 with a double in Tuesday's 6-4 victory over the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Gregorius has not been nearly as productive in September as he was during his .310, 14-RBI August, but Tuesday's performance did mark his fifth multi-hit outing of the current month. Gregorius has developed into a solid offensive contributor, particularly post-All-Star break, and appears to have solidified his role in a potent Yankees lineup moving forward.

Gregorius continued his assault on AL pitching, going 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in a losing effort against Toronto on Friday night.
EDGE Analysis
He came to the Yankees with a good glove, iffy bat label, and he struggled so much early on it even prayed on his defense. However, over the last month, he has turned things around and is now hitting a very respectable .270 with nine long ones and 50 RBI despite hitting almost exclusively near the bottom of the order. He has been so productive of late, he would be seen as one of the most important pieces in the Yankees' playoff chase, and he has made himself fantasy relevant in most formats.

Gregorius remained scorching hot at the plate Wednesday against the Red Sox, going 2-for-4 with a solo homer, a walk, and three runs scored.
EDGE Analysis
After showing little semblance of pop over the first four and a half months of the season, Gregorius has exploded in recent weeks, lifting the Yankees offense to greater heights in the process. Despite sticking in a bottom-third spot in the lineup, Gregorius has gone 16-for-28 with three walks, three homers, eight runs, and 12 RBI. It's unlikely he continues to produce to this extent throughout September, but at 25 years old, Gregorius certainly has the capability of taking his production up a notch from the level he's shown throughout his career.

Gregorius was 4-for-5 with an RBI in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Gregorius was 10-for-22 (.455) over the six games prior to Monday's contest, so this was a continuation of his hottest stretch of the season. The young shortstop has now hit safely in five consecutive games and has tallied multi-hit outings in four of those contests. Gregorious' offensive proficiency has been progressively increasing over the course of the season, with the 25-year-old having raised his batting average each successive month in the 2015 campaign until a slight dip in August. Monday's performance also padded Gregorius' impressive road resume, where he has amassed a .313 average that is 88 points higher than his number at Yankee Stadium.

Gregorius singled and walked twice, scored two runs, and drove in another in Sunday's 20-6 whipping of the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
Gregorius saw his streak of three consecutive games with an extra-base hit come to an end, but his ongoing surge at the plate is an encouraging sign for a Yankees squad that has been patiently waiting for an offensive breakout from one of their middle infielders. The 25-year-old has slashed .310/.351/.423 with three homers and 23 RBI since the Midsummer Classic.

Gregorius went 4-for-5 with a homer, 6 RBI and a run in Friday's win over Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
With the Yankees struggling to score runs of late, they received a boost from an unexpected source. Despite being a bottom-of-the-order middle infielder, Gregorius has had several offensive explosions this season, Friday being the largest. Though he was slumping as of late, Gregorius has still managed to put together a very impressive month, batting .303 with 20 RBI and 13 runs scored.

Gregorius went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Wednesday's loss to the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
The blast was the sixth of the year for the young shortstop, just one off of his career-high mark in 2013. Despite rebounding after a slow start to the year, Gregorius' .253/.300/.342 slash line without much power limits his fantasy value to deeper formats.

Gregorius went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Monday's loss to the Angels.
Gregorius has been swinging the bat better lately, as he's now recorded three multi-hit games in his past five starts. The shortstop is hitting .267 in June to raise his overall slash line to .238/.290/.328 -- still not a particularly strong showing, but an improvement after his slow start to the season.

Gregorius went 2-for-5 with his fourth homer, two RBI and two runs Saturday against Detroit.
Apparently, he enjoys Tigers pitching, as Gregorius has now homered in consecutive games after going long just twice in his first 60. The overall fantasy line leaves a lot to be desired, but the 25-year-old shortstop does have a little pop, and this weekend's productivity should help him hold off Brendan Ryan for playing time in the short term.
