Sitting for the second time in a four-game span, Gregorius will yield shortstop to Ronnie Torreyes. Over his last eight starts, Gregorius has managed a .174 average (4-for-23) with one run scored and one walk versus five strikeouts.

Gregorius is out of the lineup Wednesday against Texas, Erik Boland of NewsdaySports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gregorius will get the night off to avoid a lefty-lefty matchup with Martin Perez on the mound for the Rangers. The 26-year-old is 6-for-22 against lefties this year so the Yankees will give righty, Ronnie Torreyes, who is 2-for-5 this season against left-handers, the nod at shortstop. Gregorius will likely return to the lineup Friday against the Red Sox.

Gregorius is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the A's.
EDGE Analysis
Ronnie Torreyes will take Gregorius' place at shortstop Thursday with the Yankees facing a lefty in Oakland's Rich Hill. Gregorius raised his average to .250 on Wednesday with a 2-for-4 performance that included a home run, but manager Joe Girardi will avoid the lefty-lefty matchup Thursday by having Torreyes take his spot in the lineup.

Gregorious went 2-for-4 at the plate and hit his second home run of the season in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to Oakland.
EDGE Analysis
Hitting at the bottom of the New York lineup, Gregorius doesn't offer much in the way of fantasy value right now, hitting just .250 with four RBI. He hit just .265 with the Yankees a year ago, but did produce a career-high nine homers and 56 RBI. He's currently on pace to pass the home runs number, but owners will want to see his .250 average come up.

Gregorius is back in the lineup Thursday, batting ninth and playing shortstop, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The shortstop got the day off yesterday with left-hander J.A. Happ on the mound, but he'll slot back into the lineup against right-hander Marcus Stroman. Gregorius is off to a hot start this season, batting .333 with a home run and three RBI.

Gregorius is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
The Yankees are using a heavily right-handed lineup Wednesday for their matchup against Toronto southpaw J.A Happ. Ronnie Torreyes will fill in for Gregorius at shortstop Wednesday, and he'll bat eighth in the order. Gregorius, who is slashing .333/.348/.524, has been key in turning the Yankees lineup over this season while batting from the bottom third of the order and he figures to rejoin the lineup Thursday.

Gregorious hit a solo homer in three at-bats Tuesday against the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
His blast came off Ken Giles in the eighth inning to pull the Yankees within two runs in a game they'd go on to lose. After hitting nine home runs last season, he already has one in the books to start the year.

Gregorius is hitting .282/.333/.359 in 16 spring training games.
EDGE Analysis
It's difficult to read too much into spring training performances, but the Yankees would definitely take this kind of production out of the career .253 hitter. Gregorius enjoyed his best season as a pro last year and looks set to reprise his role as the club's everyday shortstop while hitting toward the bottom of the order.

Gregorius is 7-for-19 with a pair of RBI and a steal through seven appearances in spring training.
EDGE Analysis
Gregorius' Yankee career got off to a rocky start, but his bat ultimately came alive en route to possessing a .294/.345/.417 slash line over the second half of the 2015 season. The lefty also showed an improved ability to hit southpaws, hitting .247 against them as opposed to a .214 average on his career. He'll once again slot in as the everyday shortstop, and at just 26 years old, there's still room for improvement.

Gregorius and the Yankees agreed to a one-year deal to avoid arbitration.
EDGE Analysis
With offseason acquisition Starlin Castro expected to start at second base, Gregorius projects as the Yankees' Opening Day starter at shortstop. He displayed massive improvement at the plate during his first season in the Bronx, with a reduced strikeout rate (14.7 percent) and improved ability to handle southpaws leading to a .265/.318/.370 slash line over 578 plate appearances. Even if there's some regression in the batter's box, Gregorius' glove should be enough to keep him in the lineup.
