The veteran outfielder is finally reverting back to form, much to the delight of the Cardinals and patient fantasy owners alike. Fowler has five multi-hit efforts in the last eight games, including homers in three of those contests. Factoring in Friday's production, he's now hitting .306 with four round trippers and 11 RBI in June while posting a .429 wOBA, .306 ISO, 32.5 percent line-drive rate and 41.5 percent hard-contact rate over that stretch.

The veteran outfielder is turning in another serviceable fantasy season with a .240/.329/.456 slash line, 10 homers, 28 RBI, three stolen bases and 35 runs. Fantasy owners should love to see an uptick in his batting average and a few more steals, but Fowler is capable of piling up statistics in a hurry when he hits a groove. He's currently sporting a 9-for-23 stretch with two homers and seven RBI through his past seven games, too.

Fowler is not in the lineup for Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Brewers.

After going 2-for-4 with an RBI during Game 1, Fowler will head to the bench for a breather as Tommy Pham slides over to center field for Game 2.

The veteran outfielder, who operated out of the two-hole Friday, has posted a .347 wOBA, including four doubles and two home runs, a 26.1 percent line drive rate and a 39.1 percent hard contact rate over the 63 plate appearances spanning his last 16 games.

Fowler is batting second and playing center field Thursday against the Reds, Tom Groeschen of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Mike Matheny gave his center fielder a break Wednesday after he had started the previous 20 contests. Fowler hit .215 in that stretch but at least hit four home runs to rediscover some value. The Cardinals are trying him out of the two-hole with first baseman Matt Carpenter leading off. Perhaps his new role will refresh his approach. It may cut down a little on his potential for runs scored, but there's a wealth of track record to count on for fantasy players to buy low.

Fowler has started the past 20 games for St. Louis, but after hitting just .215 in that span (albeit with four home runs), he'll head to the bench for a night off. Tommy Pham will slide into center field to fill the void while Jose Martinez picks up a start in left field to round out the outfield.

It's also worth noting that the streaky hitter can pile up counting stats in a hurry, and Fowler hasn't had a torrid stretch yet this season.

The veteran leadoff hitter continued to thrive against one of his former squads and wrapped up the three-game series against Colorado with a .500 average (6-for-12). Fowler has a modest four-game hit streak at present and has raised his season average 22 points to .228 over that stretch.
