Travis Mike Wilner of Sportsnet 590 The Fan Sunday against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Travis had been ceding time to Lourdes Gurriel at the keystone earlier in July, but the former started five consecutive contests before heading to the bench Saturday. It now looks like Travis' path to regular at-bats will become even clearer after Gurriel reported a severe headache and symptoms of nauseousness following Saturday's contest, resulting in his placement on the 7-day disabled list prior to the series finale. Gurriel will have to demonstrate substantial progress in his recovery over the next several days if he's to gain clearance to return from the DL when first eligible July 22.

Travis went 4-for-4 with four singles in the 6-4 loss to Boston on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Travis boosted his batting average from .230 to .247 but failed to make a difference on the scoreboard in this one. The 27-year-old owns a .699 OPS with 14 extra-base hits and 23 RBI in 182 at-bats on the year.

Travis will start at second base and bat ninth Sunday against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Though he'll enter the lineup in the series finale, Travis had been on the bench in three of the Blue Jays' prior five games and seems to have fallen behind rookie Lourdes Gurriel on the depth chart. Since returning from Triple-A Buffalo on May 22, Travis is slashing an acceptable .280/.330/.449 over 34 games, but his .662 OPS for the season is still 67 points below the career-worst mark he posted in 2017.

Travis will retreat to the bench following nine straight starts, including a 2-for-3 showing during Sunday's game. In his place, Lourdes Gurriel will man second base and bat ninth.

Travis is not in the lineup Thursday against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Travis is hitting a solid .311/.354/.489 across 15 games this month, but he'll grab a breather following a string of five straight starts. Lourdes Gurriel will start at the keystone in this one, hitting ninth.

Travis went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 2-0 win over the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
His fifth-inning shot off Max Scherzer accounted for the only runs in the game. Travis only has four homers on the season in 37 games, but two of them have come in the last two contests. If the 27-year-old continues to regain his power stroke, the regular starting role at second base should come along with it.

Travis (knee) is in the lineup Monday against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Travis missed the Blue Jays' last two games while dealing with a sore right knee, but the issue doesn't seem to be a major one as he's back in the lineup. He's been poor when available so far this season, hitting just .198/.261/.311 in 32 games.

Travis was held out of the lineup during Sunday's 13-3 win over the Orioles due to a sore right knee, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It marked the second consecutive absence for Travis, who ceded duties at second base to Yangervis Solarte in the series finale. Manager John Gibbons relayed that Travis sustained the injury after colliding with outfielder Kevin Pillar during Friday's game against Baltimore, but the team seems optimistic that the 27-year-old will avoid the DL. That being said, Travis' history of knee issues could prompt the Blue Jays to limit his workload during the upcoming week.

Travis is out of the lineup Sunday against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Travis will hit the bench for the third time in four games as the Blue Jays roll with Gio Urshela at the hot corner and shift Yangervis Solarte over to second base. Though Travis has picked up the pace offensively since his late-May promotion from Triple-A Buffalo, he's still slashing an ugly .198/.261/.311 across 115 plate appearances on the season.

Travis was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo and will be available for Tuesday's game against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Travis is back with the big club after spending the previous three weeks in the minors trying to work out some kinks. The 27-year-old didn't necessarily force his return, hitting just .210/.234/.274 across 14 games with the Bisons, but his stay at Triple-A was never expected to last very long. He'll take the roster spot of Richard Urena, who was sent to the minors following Sunday's game against the A's. He'll presumably serve as a utility infielder initially upon his return.
